At that time, he was very angry with his father, but when he grew up, he realized that it was his strictness that made him who he is today, strong and determined. After that, his father passed away early, leaving his mother to raise him alone. Although he lost his father, Quach Tuan Du affirmed that his father is still a strong spiritual support for him in life.
Because the family's breadwinner was no longer there, the family soon fell into difficult circumstances, forcing Quach Tuan Du to drop out of school in grade 9. Having struggled from an early age, he realized the importance of studying.
“We can be poor in food and clothing, but we cannot be poor in intelligence. Therefore, I always advise children to try to study hard to have enough provisions to step into life,” the male singer shared.
In the early days of coming to Ho Chi Minh City to start a career, because he had only finished 9th grade, he had to work as a waiter, wash dishes, and clean to make a living. Quach Tuan Du felt lucky because he was gifted with a singing voice and received help from many seniors in the profession to achieve the success he has today.
Having gone through difficult years, the male singer always wants to share love with those in similar situations as he did in the past. He made charity trips to many provinces and cities with close friends.
Acting as an intermediary to transfer the kindness of benefactors to those in difficult circumstances, he knows there will be many risks but accepts the loss because he wants to help many people. When doing charity work, he never feels guilty.
At the age of 42, Quach Tuan Du wants to let love follow nature.
Talking about his personal life, Quach Tuan Du said that getting married is fate. After many broken relationships, he wants to let everything go naturally.
"When I meet the right person and my heart tells me that they are the one who can accompany me for the rest of my life, I will get married. I almost died 4 times, so now I want to live for many people more than for myself," he confided.
Previously, on the show "Conquering Idols", Quach Tuan Du revealed that he almost died 4 times. The first time was when he was sitting on the back of a colleague's motorbike and was hit by a taxi. The male singer fell and hit his head on the road, lost consciousness and was taken to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) in a coma. Luckily, he was rescued by the doctor in time and survived.
The second time, he stood near a gas stove that exploded in a restaurant, was burned, and had to spend a long time actively recovering.
Quach Tuan Du almost died for the third time when he was traveling from Tra Vinh to An Giang after a performance. Because the road was dark, he lost control of the steering wheel and drove straight into the river. When the car was about to sink, the male singer was lucky to open the door and swim out. After that, he was haunted and it took him several years to dare to drive again.
The fourth time was when Quach Tuan Du contracted Covid-19. At that time, ventilators were scarce, he thought he could handle it so he didn't use them and gave them to other patients. When he got worse and couldn't breathe, he thought he wouldn't survive, but the doctor intervened on a ventilator in time and saved his life.
