PV Power effectively implements safety, health and environment work

On the afternoon of April 24, at Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation - Joint Stock Company (PV Power) Nguyen Minh Dao chaired the 14th annual safety - health - environment (STSKMT) conference.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union Nghiem Thuy Lan; leaders of the Department of Industrial Techniques - Safety and Environment (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Ha Tinh Provincial Police) attended.

In 2024, due to fluctuations in the economy in general and the electricity industry in particular, PV Power's production and business activities were affected. However, with the attention and close direction of PV Power's leadership and the efforts of all officers, employees, occupational safety and health work in the entire Corporation was ensured; no environmental incidents, chemical incidents, no fires or explosions occurred, ensuring good operation, production and business activities.

Mr. Nguyen Mau Cam - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company presented a paper: " *Management and implementation of regulations on work sheets, operation sheets, work orders and regulations on working in confined spaces* ".

Last year, PV Power's organization and apparatus for implementing occupational safety and health work were completed, the system of legal documents, procedures and regulations were disseminated to all officers and employees. Thereby, improving working conditions in a healthy and professional manner, contributing to increasing production and business efficiency in each unit; helping PV Power develop sustainably, making an important contribution to ensuring national energy security.

In 2024, PV Power and its affiliated units organized training courses on occupational safety and health such as: occupational safety and hygiene training; first aid training; fire prevention and fighting & rescue training; electrical safety level testing...

Mr. Thai Hoai Thanh - Head of ATSKMT Department, Ca Mau Oil and Gas Power Company proposed some contents on ATSKMT work.

Every year, PV Power plans to organize drills for the following scenarios: fire prevention and fighting and rescue, natural disaster prevention and search and rescue, oil spill response, chemical incident response, etc. according to approved plans.

In 2024, PV Power units have carried out major maintenance and repair periods as planned, including: overhaul of Unit 2 - Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant, overhaul of Dakdrinh Hydropower Plant. During the implementation process, the units and contractors have complied with PV Power's regulations on occupational safety and health management in periodic maintenance and repair of power plants, and have organized safety training for contractors working at the plant.

At the conference, delegates discussed the contents and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of VSSKMT work in PV Power, contributing to improving production and business activities and ensuring national energy security.

Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - President of Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union highly appreciated PV Power's work on occupational safety and health in recent times for production and business activities. She requested PV Power to continue to take proactive measures, continue to implement occupational safety and health well, build a professional, safe, modern working environment, and ensure the rights of employees.

Concluding the conference, PV Power Deputy General Director Nguyen Minh Dao emphasized that in 2025, PV Power units need to focus on key tasks: Continue to synchronously implement ATSKMT solutions, ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment; strengthen inspection of occupational safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting; continue to implement safety management for contractors.
