PV GAS successfully received 30 billion Sm³ of wet gas from the oil and gas field in the overlapping area between Vietnam and Malaysia.

The PM3 - Ca Mau gas system is not only the first gas project directly designed, constructed and operated by a Vietnamese technical team, but also carries a great mission: to participate in maintaining national energy security, food security and promoting socio -economic development in the Southwest region.

With a total length of 325 km including offshore and onshore pipelines, 2 gas stations and 1 gas distribution center, the PM3- Ca Mau gas system is designed with a transport capacity of 2 billion Sm³/year, transporting gas from the PM3-CAA field in the overlapping area between Vietnam and Malaysia to the shore at Khanh Binh Tay Bac commune, Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province. The gas flow is then brought into the onshore pipeline, passing through U Minh Ha national forest to the Ca Mau Gas - Power - Fertilizer Industrial Cluster to provide essential raw materials for key projects, including: Ca Mau Power Plant 1 and 2 (capacity of 1,500 MW), Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant (800,000 tons of urea/year) and Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant (capacity of about 200,000 tons of LPG and 11,200 tons of condensate/year).

From the first gas flow on April 29, 2007, PV GAS CA MAU has successively completed the value chain: supplying gas for power generation (May 2007), producing nitrogen fertilizer (September 2011) and putting into operation the Gas Processing Plant (December 2017), affirming its central role in the regional energy ecosystem.

30 billion Sm³ - the crystallization of solidarity, overcoming difficulties and innovation spirit

Surpassing the 20 billion Sm³ milestone in June 2019, PV GAS CA MAU has faced a challenging period (2020–2022) due to the impact of the global pandemic. In an unprecedented difficult context, PV GAS CA MAU's employees have not backed down. With the spirit of "safety first", PV GAS CA MAU has activated the "3 on-site" scenario, accelerating digital transformation, ensuring continuous system operation, contributing to stabilizing electricity and fertilizer production - key factors to protect energy security and food security of the region and the country. At the same time, a series of technical innovation initiatives have been implemented, contributing to cost savings, improving system reliability and efficiency - continuing to affirm PV GAS CA MAU as a typical representative of PV GAS in the Western region.

PM3 Gas System – Ca Mau deserves to be a bright spot in the Western energy industry.

Standing firm after great challenges, the 2023-2025 period marks the comprehensive development of PV GAS CA MAU, not only in operational efficiency or the improvement of gas output growth year by year, but also in the construction and strong dissemination of typical corporate cultural values. The orientation of "People at the center - Culture as the foundation" has become the glue that binds the collective, helping PV GAS CA MAU not only stand firm in the face of challenges but also shine with its own internal strength.

30 billion Sm³ is not just a number, but a symbol of the courage, intelligence and aspiration of the PV GAS CA MAU workforce.
