On the morning of March 25, VNDIRECT Securities Joint Stock Company officially announced the company's network incident. Accordingly, from 10:00 a.m. on March 24, VNDIRECT's entire system was attacked by an international organization, causing VNDIRECT's entire trading platform to be temporarily inaccessible.

Immediately after that, VNDIRECT's technology team tried to restore but due to the large data infrastructure, it will take more time to connect.
As of the morning of March 25, this company is still working with partners who are leading technology corporations in Vietnam, as well as coordinating with PA05 and A05 to ensure the prevention of incidents similar to VNDIRECT for market safety.
Notably, while VNDIRECT is still having problems, investors who opened accounts at this company cannot trade, many people discovered that the systems of the Post and Telecommunication Joint Stock Insurance Corporation (PTI) and IPA Securities Investment Fund Management Company Limited (IPAAM) are also in a similar situation.
Specifically, PTI's website stated: "PTI system was attacked from 10am on Sunday, March 24, 2024. As of this morning, the Technology Team has completely resolved the issue and is in the process of reconnecting to keep up with transaction time. However, the recovery process is expected to take time, so we will continue to update our customers."
The websites of these two companies have notice boards with the same content as the notice of VNDIRECT Securities Joint Stock Company.
According to research, both of these companies have equity relationships with VNDIRECT and IPA Investment Group.
Specifically, in December 2021, Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost) completed the auction to divest all 22.67% of charter capital owned at PTI.
After VNPost divested, PTI has two largest shareholder groups: VNDIRECT and authorized shareholders (accounting for 42.33%) and DB Insurance Company - Korea (accounting for 37.32%).
Regarding IPAAM, as recorded in the consolidated financial statements for the third quarter of 2023, IPAAM is the only subsidiary of VNDirect (100% owned). However, by December 2023, VNDirect had completed the transaction of transferring 100% of its capital contribution at IPAAM to IPA Investment Group.
