This is an important activity to improve the ability to respond to natural disasters and unexpected incidents, ensuring the safety of the national power grid.
The 500kV line 574/Pleiku 2 – 572/Chon Thanh, section managed and operated by PTC3, passes through 3 provinces: Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Dak Nong , with a length of more than 252 km and 527 locations (including 63 anchor locations and 464 support locations).
This year's drill focuses on real-life situations that may occur on the grid, including: Checking for abnormalities in the support insulator chain, the conductor anchor insulator chain; detecting and handling safety risks due to degraded conductors and accessories; and responding to the risk of trees falling on power lines during the storm season.
At the same time, UAVs are used to monitor and assess the condition of equipment, supporting rapid incident detection. In addition, the exercise also combines equipment inspection, maintenance and testing of rescue vehicles to improve the readiness of the units.
With the goal of ensuring the 500kV line 574/Pleiku 2 - 572/Chon Thanh operates safely and continuously; the work performed on the grid ensures quality and meets technical requirements; and ensures absolute safety for people, PTC3 has organized a focus on disseminating construction plans and safety measures to all workers participating simultaneously at 3 locations in Gia Lai , Dak Lak, and Dak Nong.
Including identification of potential hazards, risks and preventive measures (health, weather, falls from heights, wrong circuits, violation of safety distances, dangerous animals, traffic accidents...).
At the same time, check the status of working tools, personal protective equipment, rescue kits, safety tools (electrical test poles, grounding devices, electrical testers, grounding wires, safety ropes, etc.), construction tools and spare materials; assign close supervision of the construction process, especially work at height.
Mr. Ho Cong, Deputy Director, Head of the PCTT&TKCN Command Board PTC3 said: The implementation of the PCTT&TKCN drill training plan is an annual task that Power Transmission Company 3 carries out in the provinces of the South Central - Central Highlands, aiming to improve the coordination capacity between units. Thereby, training skills to handle real situations and strengthening safety awareness for employees.
"More importantly, this is an opportunity to assess the readiness of PTC3's operations management force in responding to and handling natural disasters and unexpected incidents as quickly as possible to ensure the grid operates safely, continuously, and provides stable and effective electricity supply," emphasized the Deputy Director of PTC3.

Participating in this drill at the transmission line section through Dak Lak province, Mr. Ta Van Truong, a transmission line operation manager of Phan Rang Power Transmission Team, Ninh Thuan Power Transmission, said: through the drills, young workers have more opportunities to learn, practice, improve their skills and gain more experience through practical work on the transmission grid related to situations that may occur during the management and operation process.
At the end of the drill, the PCTT&TKCN Command Board of PTC3 held a summary, drew lessons, and proposed solutions to respond to real-life situations after the drill in the coming time.
