PSG crowned in France, top 5 European leagues have first champions

PSG defeated Angers 1-0 at home, thereby winning the Ligue 1 championship (French national championship) right from round 28. The Paris team also became the first club in the top 5 European national championships to win the championship this season.

Despite leaving Dembele out to prepare for the European Cup, PSG still had a superior game against Angers. In the 55th minute of the match, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia broke through on the left wing, before crossing just in time for Desire Doue to run in and finish with one touch, not giving Angers' goalkeeper a chance to block.

The 1-0 victory was enough for PSG to officially be crowned champions 6 rounds early when Monaco lost 1-2 to Brest. PSG had 74 points after 28 matches, 24 points more than Monaco while there were only 6 rounds left, so coach Enrique and his team were officially crowned champions early.

PSG have won the French championship for the fourth consecutive season. The last time PSG did not win Ligue 1 was in the 2020/2021 season when they were surpassed by Lille by just 1 point. Now, the team at the Parc des Princes can focus fully on the European Cup 1 front.
