Pleiku rewards 56 outstanding collectives and individuals in military recruitment work in 2025

In 2025, Pleiku City completed 100% of the military recruitment target with 244 young men joining the army. Of these, there were 8 party members (accounting for 3.3%, an increase of 1.24% compared to 2024) and 45 young men with university and college degrees (accounting for 18.4%, an increase of 1.1%).

The recruitment work was organized seriously and according to the process; the rate of young people meeting health requirements reached 85%, many health indicators improved compared to previous years. The authorities closely coordinated in the review and examination process, ensuring compliance with regulations and no errors occurred.

The city has allocated over 440 million VND for the preparation, organization of the military handover ceremony and giving gifts to citizens joining the army. The Military Service Councils of communes and wards have done a good job of meeting, visiting, encouraging and giving gifts to citizens joining the army on the occasion of Lunar New Year, each gift ranging from 200,000 VND to 1,550,000 VND. In addition, Hoa Lu, Hoi Phu, Phu Dong wards and Dien Phu commune also gave each citizen joining the army a savings book worth 1,000,000 VND.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the difficulties in military recruitment, especially the situation of young people working far away and the increase in diseases such as myopia, hyperopia, and cardiovascular diseases that could affect the quality of military recruitment in the coming time. Many opinions suggested the need to increase propaganda about the Law on Military Service and related policies, and pay more attention to logistics for enlisted soldiers and discharged young people.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Pleiku City People's Committee Doan Huu Dung acknowledged and commended the results achieved in the military recruitment work in 2025. The Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that although the city may have changes in administrative organization in the coming time, the military recruitment work must still ensure quality and progress. At the same time, he requested all levels and sectors to continue to coordinate closely in the work of review, preliminary selection, medical examination, ensuring the successful completion of assigned targets.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Pleiku City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 16 collectives and 40 individuals with outstanding achievements in military recruitment in 2025.
