PJICO commits to prioritize handling storm and flood losses for customers.

The historic storm Yagi has been causing heavy losses to the northern provinces. Following the serious damage to people and property in the storm's eye areas such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh... the circulation of storm No. 3 continues to cause floods and landslides in a series of northern provinces such as: Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Cao Bang...

Up to now, there are still no complete statistics on the extent of damage caused by Typhoon Yagi. However, in the past two days, images of many isolated areas, wards and communes, thousands of people and their properties submerged in water in mountainous provinces have continuously spread; landslides have caused dozens of casualties, showing that the damage from storms and floods shows no signs of stopping.

Right before and during the storm, PJICO Insurance promptly directed local units to guide customers in having plans to protect their assets and people, and at the same time sent staff on duty regularly to promptly support customers affected by storms and floods.

As of September 10, 2024, according to incomplete statistics, PJICO Insurance has received over 500 loss cases related to motor vehicles, property, maritime... estimated damage of hundreds of billions of VND. For areas that are deeply flooded such as Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang... the damage data is still not available.

For motor vehicle insurance in areas affected by widespread flooding, PJICO has organized a plan to increase the number of garage stations from neighboring areas to promptly rescue vehicles, helping customers participating in insurance at PJICO to receive dedicated service, quickly handle incidents, and overcome losses.

To ensure maximum benefits for customers of property, engineering, cargo and ship insurance, PJICO is coordinating with specialized appraisal agencies to have a plan to fix the incident, make advance compensation and pay compensation as soon as possible. For health insurance, PJICO promptly visited and shared the loss with the victim's family, and immediately compensated the customer.

In addition to solutions to accelerate appraisal, compensation, and support customers to stabilize their lives and production and business, the Trade Union and Youth Union of PJICO Insurance Corporation have arranged plans to organize social security activities in remote areas and localities isolated by storms and floods to contribute to sharing difficulties with people in affected areas to quickly rebuild their lives, demonstrating the gesture and solidarity, the tradition of the Vietnamese people whenever they encounter difficulties.
