According to Mr. Le Hoai Trung, this visit is a particularly important foreign activity for both Parties and countries, right on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership. The visit and the arrangements made by the Chinese side demonstrate the high regard of the Party, State, people of China and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping for the Party, State, people of Vietnam and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong personally. The connotation of Vietnam - China relations at a new height
On the basis of the traditional relationship and the common perceptions that have been achieved, following the motto of "16 words" and the spirit of "4 goods", the two Parties and two countries issued the "Vietnam - China Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a Vietnam - China Community of shared future of strategic significance". The goal is for the happiness of the people of the two countries, for the cause of peace and progress of mankind. The Joint Statement also affirmed the principles of developing the relationship are to comply with the United Nations Charter, international law and basic norms of international relations, persistently respect each other, equality, mutual benefit, win-win cooperation, respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, persistently resolve disagreements through peaceful means. The connotations of the relationship at a new height are 6 directions of striving to strengthen the relationship as stated in the Joint Statement, namely "6 more" . These are: Higher political trust, more substantive defense and security cooperation, deeper substantive cooperation, more solid social foundation, closer multilateral coordination and better control and resolution of disagreements . The exchanges between the leaders of the two Parties and two countries were comprehensive, sincere, constructive and frank.
