On the morning of June 7th, Ham Rong ward ( Thanh Hoa City) held a ceremony to launch the "Fire Safety Neighborhood Group" and "Public Fire Fighting Station" No. 1, and conducted a fire fighting and rescue drill in Long Quang street.
In Ham Rong ward, due to the unique characteristics of having many households living on the edge of the forest, the use of fire and heat sources in daily life and cleaning near forest areas easily leads to fire risks; there are 17 residential areas with narrow alleys, making fire prevention and control difficult; and many households are concentrated along major roads for residential and commercial purposes...
The launch and official operation of Fire Safety Neighborhood Group No. 1 in Long Quang Street contributes to concretizing the goals, requirements, and tasks of fire prevention and rescue work in the residential area in particular and Ham Rong Ward in general.
This is also an important task for the people and local forces to coordinate with the fire fighting force to proactively prevent and stop fires that cause damage to people and property.
Following the inauguration ceremony, officers and soldiers from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police, in coordination with the Thanh Hoa City Police and the No. 1 Fire Safety Neighborhood Group in Long Quang Street, conducted a fire fighting and rescue drill. The drill involved various scenarios at the fire safety neighborhood group, with the participation of local forces, fire police officers and soldiers, and fire fighting equipment and tools. Simultaneously, they practiced rescue plans during fires, ensuring the safety of residents' lives.
Through training, awareness of fire prevention, firefighting, and search and rescue operations in the event of fires, explosions, accidents, and incidents is enhanced at neighborhood fire prevention groups and residential areas; the readiness and ability of grassroots fire prevention forces and civil defense forces in neighborhood fire prevention groups, residential areas, and crowded places to respond to and handle fire, explosion, accident, and incident situations is strengthened.
Simultaneously, this aims to enhance the combat readiness and coordination of forces involved in firefighting and rescue operations at Fire Prevention and Control Team No. 1 - Long Quang Street in particular, and in Ham Rong Ward in general.
Reportedly, to date, Ham Rong ward has launched and put into operation 8 "Neighborhood Fire Safety Teams and 15 public fire fighting points" in the area.
