Dream of being a police officer
Phung The Van was born in 1999, a Tay ethnic child of Phuong Vien commune, Cho Don district. Since childhood, The Van has been very proud and loved the police officers. The image of the strong green uniform, the support of the people, has become his goal.
The Van shared: Since I was in school, I dreamed of becoming a People's Police officer. My grandfather, Mr. Phung Van Vy, is also a retired police officer. He has achieved many noble titles during his career. He is very strict, disciplined but very warm. I often hear stories about his time working and the difficult missions he has gone through. My grandfather is the pride of the family, the person who inspires and motivates me to try and be determined to realize my dream.

To realize his dream of becoming a People's Police officer, after graduating from high school, The Van registered to join the People's Police service and enlisted in March 2018 at the Guard Command - Ministry of Public Security. In the early days away from home and having to get used to the stressful training process, The Van constantly tried and made efforts to complete the assigned tasks well.

Through rigorous training, The Van has gradually matured and is currently working at the Guard Command - Ministry of Public Security. With the advantage of outstanding height and natural athletic talent, soldier The Van also actively participates in cultural and sports activities at the unit. Also from extracurricular activities, The Van has been noticed on social networks.
Surprised to become a "celebrity"
In 2020, The Van, who was working at Regiment 600, Guard Command - Ministry of Public Security, participated in the program "We are soldiers 2020" organized by VTV. After the program was broadcast, The Van's "radiant" smile "caused a fever". At that time, even viewers who had never watched "We are soldiers" searched for replayed videos with The Van's image, sharing them everywhere on social networks to find information.

After 5 years, The Van's images were suddenly shared widely again and made a more impressive impression when he became more mature and strong in his police uniform.
Sharing about this, The Van said gently: I am really surprised and grateful to receive so much love from everyone through social networks. The daily images of work and life that I save as souvenirs are getting more attention. That makes me feel very happy, and at the same time, I also feel that I need to be more responsible in spreading positive things, especially the beautiful image of the People's Public Security soldier.

Due to the nature of his work, The Van is often away from his family, so his hometown is always the first destination he thinks of when he has time. We were very impressed with The Van's introduction: I am a son of Cho Don district, Bac Kan province, a mountainous area in the North with very peaceful nature and honest, sincere people.
My hometown is famous for its rustic beauty such as Ba Be Lake, Kim Hy primeval forest, and many historical relics such as Na Pau relic, which used to be a revolutionary base during the resistance war. In addition, Bac Kan also has many delicious specialties such as dried bamboo shoots, Na Ri dong vermicelli, or cakes on full moon days and Tet holidays, especially fermented rice wine.
During the upcoming holiday, if work conditions allow, I will definitely take the opportunity to return to my hometown. After stressful working days, being able to return home, have a meal with my family and breathe the fresh air of the mountains and forests is something I always look forward to...

However, he does not get to take a day off on every holiday. The special nature of his work means that many soldiers like The Van will continue their duties during the days when the whole country rests and reunites. “As the big holiday approaches, my feelings, like those of many other comrades, are excitement mixed with pride. However, we understand that each shift and each completed task is a small part in keeping the peace for the people. That makes me appreciate even more the values that I am contributing to preserving, the peace of mind and the trust that society places in the People's Public Security force."

As a People's Public Security officer, soldier Phung The Van is always aware that the road ahead is still long and full of challenges. In the coming time, he continues to set the goal of striving to improve his political qualities, improve his professional qualifications and skills, and stay with the industry for a long time./.
