Phu Tho experiences intense cold from the evening of January 26th.

According to the Northern Mountainous Region Meteorological and Hydrological Station, on January 24th, a strong cold front moved southward. The weather in Phu Tho province was generally cloudy with no rain, and scattered light fog in the early morning. It was cold at night and in the morning. At 7:00 AM on January 24th, temperatures throughout the province ranged from 18-19 degrees Celsius.

According to forecasts, around the night of January 25th and the morning of January 26th, this cold air mass will affect the northeastern region of Vietnam, and then the Phu Tho province. Northeast winds will gradually strengthen to level 3. From late afternoon and night of January 26th, the weather will turn intensely cold. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell will generally range from 9-12 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of a strengthening cold front, scattered rain and showers, and thunderstorms in some areas, are expected in Phu Tho province from the night of January 25th to 26th. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. People should be aware that the severe cold weather could affect human health, especially the elderly and young children; and could also impact crops and livestock.
