Phu Tho engraves his words

Uncle Ho's advice was like a call to create the strength of national unity, so that the whole Party, the whole people, and the whole army could fight against foreign invaders and fight for national independence.

Taking his teachings to heart, over the past 70 years, Phu Tho province, together with the whole country, has achieved many great results, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

His words echo throughout the mountains and rivers

On the morning of September 18, 1954, from Dai Tu district (Thai Nguyen province), Uncle Ho returned to Phu Tho. Around noon, he visited Phu Tho town to learn about the living conditions and work of the people after peace was restored.

He then went to the evacuation site of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Office in Quang Trung village, Thanh Ha commune, Phu Tho town. He asked about the general situation of the province and the situation of Prince Souphanouvong when he passed through Phu Tho.

He assigned the Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office to report to the Provincial Party Committee on what Uncle Ho had told him: We must help families of war invalids, martyrs, and soldiers facing difficulties; we need to manage urban areas, repair roads well, and ensure principles in the information system between lower and higher levels.

On the evening of September 18, 1954, Uncle Ho returned to Hung Temple and stayed overnight there. On the morning of September 19, Uncle Ho, along with comrade Song Hao - Political Commissar of the Vanguard Army Corps, comrade Nguyen Van Thanh and some security guards, visited the relics.

People visit the Lower Temple, Thien Quang Pagoda, Middle Temple, Upper Temple, visit the Hung King's Tomb and the Well Temple.

At around 10:00 a.m. on September 19, Uncle Ho met with the officers and soldiers representing the Vanguard Army Corps at the Gieng Temple. Here, he spoke intimately with the officers and soldiers, in which he advised: “The Hung Kings had the merit of building the country, you and I must work together to protect the country.”

His advice still resonates today. His advice is like a call to arms for the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people to unite and rise up to fight off foreign invaders, to protect the beautiful country and the territorial integrity of the Vietnamese people.

His saying not only affirms the great contributions of the Hung Kings and generations of fathers and grandfathers in building and defending the country, but also serves as a reminder to the entire Party, people and army about the cause of national liberation, national unification, and preservation and protection of the Fatherland.

Keeping in mind his advice, throughout the glorious journey of the nation, the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army resolutely maintain the independence, sovereignty and sacred territorial integrity of the Fatherland, protect the revolutionary achievements of the Party, protect the regime, protect the people; maintain the great solidarity, together overcome all difficulties and challenges, maintain a peaceful environment, build our country to be more and more dignified and beautiful, and the people's lives to be more and more prosperous and happy.

Over the past 70 years, the army and people of Phu Tho have always stood shoulder to shoulder, joined forces with compatriots and soldiers nationwide to achieve great achievements, making worthy contributions to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

During the struggle against the US to save the country, Phu Tho province mobilized nearly 9% of its human resources for combat and combat service with nearly 93,000 young men joining the army, more than 4,000 people participating in the youth volunteer force; mobilized millions of working days to transport, evacuate, hide goods, repair bridges and roads, fill bomb craters, maintain traffic arteries...

Phu Ha Industrial Park, Phu Tho town is one of the modern industrial parks, ready to welcome investors.

In combat and combat service, the army and people of Phu Tho directly fought in 783 battles, shooting down 86 American planes. In the wars to protect the northern and southwestern borders of the Fatherland, the children of the Fatherland were always present on the fierce fronts, holding their guns firmly to fight against the invaders, together with the army and people of the whole country to repel the invaders, firmly protecting the territorial integrity, and reuniting the country.

Entering the process of national reconstruction and building socialism, the Party Committee, government and ethnic groups of Phu Tho province have always been united and become the compass and driving force for Phu Tho to rise up and achieve many achievements in economic and social development.

From a poor, purely agricultural province with poor urban infrastructure; slow development of industry, trade and services; a large proportion of the agricultural economic structure, up to now, Phu Tho's economy has always maintained a fairly high growth rate compared to the whole country and the provinces in the midlands and northern mountainous regions.

In the 2020-2025 term, Phu Tho is determined to successfully implement the breakthrough of "strongly improving the investment and business environment", creating increasingly favorable conditions to attract investment resources.

The provincial competitiveness index PCI, administrative reform index PAR Index, and satisfaction index of administrative services SIPAS in 2023 are all in the top 10 nationwide.

Along with that, the synchronous inter-regional traffic network connects expressways and national highways, such as: Vinh Phu bridge - connecting Vinh Phuc province; inter-regional traffic route connecting Ho Chi Minh road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province; Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho expressway, etc.

The infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters is increasingly being improved. In addition, the province has completed the construction and expansion of 7 industrial parks and 21/28 industrial clusters.

In 2023, 102 new projects were attracted and capital was added, including 19 FDI projects, with registered capital of more than 218 million USD.

Phu Tho has a synchronous, modern transportation system that conveniently connects trade with the capital Hanoi and other localities across the country.

GRDP growth rate reached 7.58% (among 15 localities with a fairly high growth rate in the country); economic scale increased more than 1.3 times compared to 2020, exceeding the 100 trillion VND mark, ranking 34th out of 63 provinces and cities and 3rd out of 14 provinces in the northern midland and mountainous region.

The planning of Phu Tho province for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2050, has also been approved by the Prime Minister, demonstrating the aspirations of the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province in realizing development goals.

Up to now, the whole Phu Tho province has 6 new rural districts, 136 new rural communes, more than 1,600 residential areas meeting new rural standards...

Education and training continue to maintain and improve the quality of education at all levels. For 4 consecutive years, the average score of high school graduation exams ranked 8th nationwide, and the results of excellent student exams remained among the top in the country.

Healthcare is also a bright spot of Phu Tho with a system of health care facilities being consolidated and widely developed; 100% of medical stations have doctors working, 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities have quality level 3 or higher; the satisfaction rate of people is always over 98%...

The ideological and spiritual values ​​from President Ho Chi Minh's advice have guided generations of cadres, party members, and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province to cultivate, train, and strive.
