North Phu Quoc Island sparkles at night.
On February 11, the Department of Tourism of Kien Giang province announced that Phu Quoc Island (Kien Giang) has surpassed strong competitors in the Southeast Asian region to top the list of top 5 fastest growing destinations - according to the travel website Travel Off Path (USA).
Travel Off Path cites Phu Quoc's outstanding figures: Welcoming nearly 6 million tourists in 2024 (up 7.1% compared to 2023), including nearly 1 million international visitors (up 73.4% compared to 2023); total tourism revenue of more than VND 21,000 billion. Compared to 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic), the number of international visitors to Phu Quoc has increased by 43%.
The remaining fastest growing tourism destinations in Southeast Asia are Phuket and Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore (Singapore) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

Travel Off Path also believes that Phu Quoc is one of the most beautiful islands in Vietnam. It has beautiful scenery and many exciting activities. The island is also famous for its clear blue beaches and fine white sand, promising to bring interesting experiences to visitors.
Tourists can explore and trek under the mysterious primeval forest canopy; visit the night market, fishing villages with hundreds of years of history or immerse themselves in the colorful space at international-class entertainment complexes... Open visa policies also attract more international visitors to Phu Quoc.
Many beaches of Phu Quoc are clear, clean and beautiful.
According to the Department of Tourism of Kien Giang province, during the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty in 2025, Phu Quoc welcomed more than 280,000 visitors, an increase of 47% over the same period in 2024. In 2025, Phu Quoc aims to welcome 7 million tourists.
More good news for Phu Quoc tourism, it is expected that on February 14, 2025, the pearl island will welcome a 5-star cruise ship carrying more than 2,000 international passengers to Phu Quoc International Passenger Port.
