Women of Kim Boi district actively participate in building cultural life

Women's Union members of My Hoa commune (Kim Boi) performed with the theme "My Hoa commune aspires to reach far".

In My Hoa commune, for many years now, the work of building cultural life in residential areas has always been a key task, focused on by the Women's Union of the commune and 8 branches. Comrade Bui Thi Hue, President of the Women's Union of My Hoa commune, said: Realizing that the work of building cultural life in residential areas must first look at the cultural and spiritual life of cadres, members and people, so in the past time, 100% of the women's unions in the commune have actively participated in cultural, artistic and sports activities. Currently, 8/8 branches have established 1-2 art clubs and 1 women's volleyball team. During holidays and Tet, the Union organizes cultural and sports exchanges to bring a joyful and exciting atmosphere to women.

The Commune Women's Union also maintains the "Saving from scrap" model, attracting over 80 members to participate. Once a month at the end of the month, the money from selling scrap is given by the Union to members in difficult circumstances in the hamlet and commune and does not have to be returned. This activity not only contributes to protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment, but also carries the meaning of mutual love, helping members in difficult circumstances to rise up in life.

Implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", every Saturday, Ms. Bui Thi Thuong as well as women's union members in Boi Ca hamlet, Nam Thuong commune actively participate in cleaning village roads, alleys, planting and taking care of flower paths near the hamlet's cultural house. Ms. Thuong shared: Looking at the bright, green, clean, beautiful countryside, each person raises awareness and gradually forms a culture of environmental protection, promotes socio-economic development, and successfully builds an advanced new rural commune.

Talking about the role of women in building cultural life through specific and practical activities and movements, comrade Nguyen Thi Khuong, President of the Kim Boi District Women's Union, said: In the past, women's union members have always been the core force, taking the lead in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with "Building happy families" and "Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas". In 2024, the whole district has over 21,000 female cadres and union members participating and registering to implement the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" associated with the campaign to practice women's moral qualities "Confidence - self-respect - loyalty - responsibility".

The Women's Unions of communes and towns actively propagated to their members' families to classify and treat waste at home, build a model of "Clean house, beautiful garden"; organize a general cleaning of the environment, village roads, alleys, plant and take care of 27 flower-filled roads; maintain 32 models of "Self-managed women's roads"; build 204 hygienic toilets with a total cost of 120 million VND for poor women, women with disabilities and single women.

In addition, through many diverse forms of activities, clubs, competitions, thematic activities, cultural and sports activities also attract a large number of members. Last year, the Association established 6 new Muong gong clubs, attracting 240 members.
