The above activities were among many activities of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s wife, Ms. Le Thi Bich Tran, and the ASEAN Women’s Community in Hanoi (AWCH) on April 21. This is one of the ways to strengthen solidarity among countries under the ASEAN roof.

Also attending were Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc, wife of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and Mr. Do Hung Viet, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of Vietnam ASEAN SOM.

At the main courtyard of Do Temple, Lady Le Thi Bich Tran and the delegates respectfully offered incense to their ancestors. The trip took place on the occasion of the 1015th anniversary of King Ly Thai To - who decided to move the capital from Hoa Lu to Dai La, building the capital Thang Long, now Hanoi.

After the incense offering ceremony, the Lady and the delegates listened to the explanation about Do Temple, took a group photo in front of Ngu Long Mon and the historic Edict on Moving the Capital.

Do Temple, also known as Ly Bat De Temple or Co Phap Dien, is a temple dedicated to the eight kings of the Ly Dynasty, built in the 11th century and now located in Dinh Bang Ward, Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province. In 2014, Do Temple and the tombs of the Ly Dynasty kings were ranked as special national monuments.

The delegates then experienced making Dong Ho folk paintings, making phoenix-winged betel leaves, making phu the cakes; visiting Phu Lang pottery booths, Xuan Hoi bamboo and rattan weaving, etc.

Sharing with the international guests, Madam Le Thi Bich Tran believes that after these memorable activities, each person in the delegation will understand and love more the rustic, wild and unique features of Bac Ninh land.

She also expressed her joy that Bac Ninh is increasingly known to international friends, through activities like AWCH's, or through creative songs about this land.

The Prime Minister's wife cited the song Bac Bling, which is currently very popular on social media platforms, and many people have probably heard of it.

"In the development journey of the ASEAN Community in general and Vietnam in particular over the past decades, we are proud and appreciate the indispensable contributions of women in different roles, from mothers, wives in the family, to businesswomen, scientists, politicians, social activists... And the ASEAN Community Women's Group in Hanoi is a typical example," said Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran.

She shared that as someone who is passionate about preserving and promoting the beauty of Vietnamese culture, she feels very lucky to have the opportunity to exchange, learn and promote the unique values of her country to international friends.

"At the same time, I also got to immerse myself in many interesting cultural experiences from many places around the world. Culture is not only the pride of the people of each country but also a strong bond connecting people of all countries," the Prime Minister's wife expressed.

On this occasion, Madam Le Thi Bich Tran introduced to international friends the special necklace she is wearing. This is a product made from Vietnamese lacquer with the colors of ASEAN with the desire to spread the message: "ASEAN is always in our hearts".
