The inspection team listened to the police representatives of these two communes report on the results of receiving, classifying, and verifying preliminary reports and denunciations of crimes in the period from October 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. On that basis, the team inspected related records and books.
Through inspection, it was found that the commune police have seriously implemented the work of opening a logbook to monitor, classify and update the results of handling information about crimes according to regulations. Investigators assigned to commune-level police have effectively coordinated with prosecutors, contributing to improving the quality and progress of handling, preventing wrongful convictions and letting criminals escape.
The inspection team also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations, which the police chiefs of these two communes accepted and committed to overcome. The two sides also discussed and agreed on solutions to overcome difficulties in receiving and handling information about crimes at the grassroots level.
This activity is part of the program to implement the coordination regulations between the Provincial Police and the Provincial People's Procuracy on the work of receiving, classifying, handling denunciations, reports of crimes and recommending prosecution; investigating criminal cases against investigators and investigation officers assigned to commune-level police. The Phu Hoa District People's Procuracy is the first unit in the province to directly supervise this work at commune-level police, while integrating supervision of criminal judgment execution in the community and legal propaganda at the People's Committee of Hoa An commune.
