This is a series of articles reflecting on the Ia Mor Irrigation Reservoir project (Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province), with a total investment of nearly 3,000 billion VND in each phase, from government bond capital, but its full capacity has not been used because it is waiting for forest conversion to be made into an irrigation area. Meanwhile, thousands of households in the neighboring locality of Ia Rve commune (Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province) are facing countless difficulties and challenges due to water shortage.

In order to solve the difficulty of lack of water for production for people in the border commune of Ia Rve, the authorities of Dak Lak province have proposed extending the main and branch canal systems to expand the irrigation area for Ia Mor irrigation lake (Gia Lai province) to Ia Rve commune.

To maximize the effectiveness of the investment in the Ia Mor reservoir irrigation project, meeting the initial tasks of the project, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has worked with the two provinces of Dak Lak and Gia Lai. At the same time, it assigned specialized agencies to study more investment options and effectively use the water resources of Ia Mor reservoir in the direction of: Extending the main and branch canal systems to expand the irrigation area of Dak Lak province by about 3,500 hectares (the area in Ea Sup district where people are engaged in agricultural production but do not have irrigation works).

At the same time, build a water transfer system (pumping station and pipeline system) to take water directly from Ia Mor Lake to irrigate an area of about 3,000 hectares on the left shoulder of the lake, this is also an established irrigation area, expected to develop into a high-tech agricultural area but has no irrigation works...

Reporter Chau Tuong was awarded a certificate of merit by the Naval Region 4 Command for his good achievements in coordinating propaganda about the activities of Naval Region 4 in 2022 and the first 6 months of 2023.

Reporter Nguyen Thi Hoa shared: At the end of July 2022, I and my colleagues in Khanh Hoa province went to Naval Region 4 to report on the handover of 5 fishermen from fishing boat BTh 97478-TS that sank on July 10, 2022. Information about the handover and the health of the fishermen was fully updated by Nguoi Dua Tin to readers.

After that, I continued to keep in touch and connect with units of Naval Region 4 to continue to inform about the activities of the Navy. From there, news about rescue, assistance to fishing boats, fishermen at sea, as well as some other activities of the Navy units when having information and images, I always tried to report as soon as possible. Activities on medical support, health care when fishermen are in distress are updated by me regularly.

This information not only helps fishermen feel secure at sea when they always have the companionship and support of the navy, but also spreads the meaningful and practical work and activities of the navy to readers, so that readers can better understand the hardships and silent sacrifices of the forces at sea.
