Patriotic emulation movement: Associated with the goals and tasks of local socio-economic development

Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh gave a directive speech.

In 2024, Tay Ninh continued to carry out emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister in the province, achieving many positive results such as: emulation movements "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas"; "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to implement office culture"; "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period 2023-2030".

The province continues to implement the National Action Program "No more hunger" from 2020-2025 and launches the emulation movement "Tay Ninh joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" in the period of 2021-2025, striving to reduce the multidimensional rate from 0.03% - 0.046% (equivalent to 100 to 150 households). Tay Ninh also sets a goal of completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by December 31, 2025, according to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025".

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded thePresident 's Labor Medal to individuals.

Tay Ninh has launched many outstanding emulation movements in 2024 such as: "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style"; "Solidarity, creativity, improving productivity, quality, efficiency, international integration"; excellently completing the task of collecting and paying the State budget in the province; implementing local defense work and defense and securityeducation work in 2024; "For national security" and "All people protect national security" in 2024; achieving achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army...

Emulation movements have closely followed the leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, especially important and breakthrough tasks; closely followed and effectively solved practical problems; were organized with focus, key points, practicality, efficiency, and no formality.

Collectives received the flag of excellent units in the emulation movement of the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the conference, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh acknowledged the efforts of individuals and collectives in the process of building and developing the province in many fields.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, the province's economy will continue to grow well in 2024 , with a gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of 8.45%, higher than the national average, ranking 19th among provinces and cities and 2nd in the Southeast key economic region. In 2024, Tay Ninh will be the 32nd province (up 13 places) in terms of administrative reform index; the people's satisfaction index will rank 2nd in the country, after Quang Ninh (in 2023, Tay Ninh's people's satisfaction index will rank 60th in the country).

According to the acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in the coming time, sectors and localities need to closely follow the emulation movement associated with completing the goals, emulation targets, and socio-economic development tasks in 2025: socio-economic development reaches double digits; complete the targets of the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, strive to have no poor households in Tay Ninh according to the Central standards by the end of 2025; 100% of new rural communes...

“Competition must be associated with substantial economic development, with restructuring of industries and sectors; innovating operations, improving competitiveness, focusing on implementing digital strategies, digital economy, green economy, circular economy, and promoting e-commerce,” Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh emphasized.

In addition, the acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that sectors and localities increase timely and extraordinary rewards; strongly spread the examples of "good people, good deeds" more and more widely, deeply penetrating all areas of social life.

At the conference, authorized by the President, the provincial leaders awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals to individuals who had excellent achievements in their work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Authorized by the Prime Minister, the provincial leaders presented the Prime Minister's Excellent Unit Flag in the emulation movement to the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for its excellent and comprehensive completion of its tasks, leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2023; 4 collectives with outstanding achievements, leading the patriotic emulation movement in the 2023-2024 school year of Tay Ninh province. In addition, many individuals and collectives received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Flag of the leading unit in the emulation movement in 2024 to 5 collectives for their outstanding achievements, leading the emulation movement of each block organized and launched by the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee in 2024; awarded certificates of merit to 20 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of each block organized and launched by the Provincial People's Committee in 2024.
