From April 24-27, the Department of Cinema (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) presided over and coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province and related units to organize a Film Week to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
According to the Department of Cinema, 2 feature films ( Dao, Pho and Piano, Rose Squad ) and 2 documentaries ( Memories of the Fire-bearers, Accompanying History ) will be screened on this occasion.

Taking place on the evening of April 24 at Dien Bien Phu Cinema, the Opening Ceremony of Film Week will screen the feature film Dao, Pho and Piano and the documentary Ky om nguoi truyen toa .
The Organizing Committee will also display some documentary photos of Vietnam Revolutionary Cinema participating in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in the lobby of Dien Bien Phu Cinema, and present the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum with documentary photos of the documentary film crew and photographers participating in the Campaign.
This is a meaningful activity, recognizing the valuable historical contributions of the first generation of cadres and artists of Vietnamese Revolutionary Cinema who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, writing heroic pages of the nation's history through images, contributing to the great victory of the Vietnamese revolution.
Along with the film screening, the Cinema Department will organize two exchange sessions between artists of the two film crews Dao, Pho and Piano and the Rose Squad with officers and soldiers of the 82nd Infantry Regiment, Division 355 - Military Region II and officers, teachers and students of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Dien Bien province; organize a delegation of artists to offer incense at the Martyrs' Temple, visit historical sites such as Hill A1, De Castries bunker, Muong Phang, Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, etc.
Looking forward to the film series celebrating major holidays such as the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30), International Labor Day (May 1), Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7) and President Ho Chi Minh's Birthday (May 19) in 2024, the Department has prepared films to print and send to Cinema Centers, Film Distribution and Screening Centers in 63 provinces and cities.
The selected films include: feature film Dien Bien Memories ; documentary Dien Bien Phu (produced in 1954), Dien Bien Phu Victory (produced in 1964), animated films Angry Green Forest, and Super Naughty Old Lady.
