Rich activities at the 5th National Dien Bien Young Soldiers Festival

Baoquocte.vn. The Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers will organize the 5th National Dien Bien Young Soldiers Festival in Dien Bien province from April 24-26, with the participation of about 200 outstanding young delegates from 63 provinces and cities across the country.

Delegates attending the Festival are aged 10-15, with excellent achievements in studying, training and working with the Young Pioneers; typical children in the "Thousand Good Deeds" movement; delegates who are Uncle Ho's good children, excellent Young Pioneers at the provincial level, children in difficult circumstances who have made efforts to overcome difficulties and study well; in which priority is given to children who won high prizes in activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) organized by the Youth Union and Young Pioneers.

Within the framework of this year's Festival, there will be many meaningful activities toeducate historical traditions for children such as: Groundbreaking, inauguration and awarding of works for Dien Bien children; Journey to the source at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield, A1 National Martyrs' Cemetery; visiting the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, Dien Bien Phu Campaign Headquarters Relic, meeting historical witnesses, listening to traditional stories...

In addition, delegates participated in the experience activity “Little Dien Bien soldiers marching in the footsteps of heroes” at historical sites; participated in camping, folk games, exhibitions of cultural features, typical cuisine of localities; experienced STEM...

According to the Organizing Committee, each day of the Festival has its own theme: “Little Soldiers of Dien Bien” gather in the Ban flower region (day one); “Little Soldiers of Dien Bien” follow in the footsteps of heroes (day two); “Little Soldiers of Dien Bien” are proud of their tradition and firmly step into the future (day three).

In particular, in the "Echo of Dien Bien" Exchange program, 200 child delegates attending the Festival and 300 children from Dien Bien province will participate in setting a Vietnamese record "The Xoe Hoa dance performance with the largest number of children from 63 provinces and cities participating in the performance to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory in Vietnam".

The focus of the Festival will be the 5th national "Little Dien Bien Soldiers" honoring program in 2024 taking place at 7/5 Square, Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province.

It is known that to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers launched 7 weeks of peak competition (from March 18 to May 7) in Young Pioneers' bases associated with the Happy and Healthy Children's Festival.

It is expected that the 2024 Color Festival - a painting contest for children with the theme "Colors of volunteering - For beloved juniors" will also be launched in early April in Dien Bien province.

Immediately after the Festival, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers will summarize and award the 2024 Postage Stamp Collection and Research Contest with the theme "70 years of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory through postage stamps".
