Therefore, to fundamentally resolve the shortage of domestic water, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai has just issued a document assigning the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation and related units to organize inspections and reviews of areas where there is a shortage of domestic water to take timely measures to handle and resolve within their authority. For matters beyond their authority, the People's Committees of localities shall synthesize and report to the People's Committee before March 10, 2024.
Previously, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the domestic water supply situation of water supply works managed by the Provincial Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation during the 2024 Lunar New Year was basically guaranteed. Most water supply works operated quite stably. However, as of the end of February 12, 2024 (the 3rd day of Tet), there were still some areas lacking water supply. Specifically, in Tanh Linh district: Mang To commune suffered from local water shortages in high and remote areas from the water plant (villages 5 and 7); in Suoi Kiet commune, the raw water level of Lam Truong Song Dinh lake has dropped to 40 cm, in the coming time, the raw water source will be exhausted (due to the impact of hot weather in the dry season), it is expected that there will be a shortage of raw water for the operation of water supply works. In addition, there is a shortage of water supply in high and end areas such as Dong Me village - Duc Thuan commune; Cham, Tan Thanh, Tra Cu quarters - Lac Tanh town, water cut off for 2 hours every day.
In Ham Thuan Bac district, there is a local water shortage in some areas at the end of the route, with high terrain and far from the water plant such as hamlet 1, hamlet 4 - Hong Son commune; Thuan Hoa commune; hamlet 1 and part of hamlet 6 - Ham Duc commune. In addition, in Ham Tan district, there is a local water shortage in some areas of Ha Lang hamlet - Thang Hai commune and some areas with high terrain in Son My commune.
