In 2024, the deputy CEOs of VNG Group will receive an average salary of nearly 650 million VND/month, higher than the salary of CEO Le Hong Minh at 592 million VND.

Revealing the huge income VNG boss will receive in 2024

VNG Corporation (VNZ) has just announced its audited financial results for fiscal year 2024.

This technology company's net revenue grew impressively by 22%, reaching VND9,273 billion, with net profit from business operations after impressive reversal compared to 2023, reaching VND302 billion.

On a positive note, VNG reported a gross profit of more than VND3,420 billion, up 50% from the previous year. After deducting expenses, the group still had a loss after tax of VND1,180 billion, but this was a significant decrease compared to 2023.

"2024 is a challenging year for VNG, but we have overcome difficulties by focusing on core values ​​and strategic vision," said Mr. Le Hong Minh, founder and chairman of the board of directors of VNG.

According to this person, investments in AI are starting to pay off, with total revenue from AI reaching hundreds of billions of VND. VNG is in a favorable position to become an "AI-First" company within the next 5 years.

The recently released audit report also revealed the payout for key leadership positions last year. Accordingly, the average monthly salary for deputy general directors at VNG was 648.5 million VND, lower than the 727 million VND in 2023.

Thus, on average, the deputy general director of VNG received nearly 8 billion VND last year, which is a high income compared to the average level of other listed companies.

Currently, the VNG deputy general director structure includes: Mr. Vuong Quang Khai - co-founder and deputy general director, senior standing; Mr. Nguyen Le Thanh - deputy general director of VNG and general director of Digital Business; Mr. Wong Kelly Yin Hon - deputy general director of VNG and general director of VNG Games and Mr. Tan Wei Ming - deputy general director of finance of VNG.

The income that the above deputy general directors receive is even higher than that of the general director. Mr. Le Hong Minh - CEO of VNG, receives 592 million VND/month, or about 7.1 billion VND, higher than in 2023 (about 6.6 billion VND).

How does FPT pay its bosses?

FPT - another technology company also announced its audited financial report for 2024, which clearly stated the income of its leaders.

Among them, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc - Vice Chairman, and member Do Cao Bao continued not to receive last year's salary.

At FPT's board of directors, the highest paid members are foreign nationals, including Mr. Hiroshi Yokotsuka and Mr. Rangadore Binod. Accordingly, these two received a salary of 2.53 billion VND, 6% higher than last year.

In the FPT board of directors, most of them received higher income than last year. For example, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - CEO of FPT - received a salary of 4.42 billion VND, higher than the 4.4 billion VND of last year. On average, Mr. Khoa received nearly 370 million VND/month.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen The Phuong - Deputy General Director - received a salary of 3.51 billion VND for the whole year of 2024. Mr. Pham Minh Tuan - another Deputy General Director appointed from March 2024, received a salary of 2.44 billion VND last year. And Mr. Hoang Huu Chien - Chief Accountant of FPT - received 2.08 billion VND.

Regarding business performance, FPT's revenue last year reached VND 62,962 billion, up 20% compared to 2023. Profit after tax reached VND 9,427 billion, up 21%.
