Within the framework of his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the morning of July 27, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang held talks with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly welcomed the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, assessing this as an important event taking place on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1963-2023).
Expressing his joy at visiting the beautiful and hospitable country of Egypt on the occasion of Egypt's National Day (July 23, 1952 - July 23, 2023), Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang thanked Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly for the warm and respectful reception given to the delegation, expressing his belief that the Egyptian Government and people will successfully implement the "Sustainable Development Strategy: Vision 2030", continuing to achieve many great achievements in national construction and development.
In a friendly and open atmosphere, the two leaders discussed the socio-economic development of each country, welcomed the positive developments in Vietnam-Egypt relations, and affirmed their determination to create breakthroughs for bilateral cooperation in all fields.
The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen the traditional friendship and good cooperation through further enhancing delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level ones.
On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's invitation to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to soon visit Vietnam; and suggested that the two sides actively coordinate and support each other at international organizations.
The two leaders said that the two countries still have much potential to promote cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, agriculture, etc.; agreed to increase the exchange of business delegations, coordinate the organization of trade and investment promotion events in each country in the coming time, create conditions for each other's strong export goods such as agricultural products, rice, garments, fertilizers, etc. to enter each other's markets; encourage and create favorable conditions for businesses of both sides to strengthen connections and participate in investment in projects in each country.
To create a breakthrough for trade cooperation in the coming time, the Vietnamese side proposed studying the possibility of negotiating a Vietnam-Egypt Free Trade Agreement (FTA); proposing cooperation with Egypt in producing food according to Halal standards under a bilateral or multilateral model in Vietnam or in Egypt.

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that Egyptian businesses are increasingly interested in the Vietnamese market, highly appreciating the political stability and favorable investment and business environment, wishing to further strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation with Vietnam; and is ready to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses to come to Egypt for business cooperation and investment.
To effectively implement the above measures, the two sides agreed to prepare well and soon organize the 6th meeting of the Vietnam-Egypt Joint Committee; and promote the completion of the legal framework for multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang expressed his thanks and hope that Egypt will continue to grant scholarships to Vietnamese students to study Arabic and other fields of study in Egypt; create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Egypt to integrate well, stabilize their lives and work and study with peace of mind, thereby contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and promoting the role of a bridge to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
