The Deputy Prime Minister said that one of the important results in implementing the National Assembly's questioning resolutions is that people's lives have improved, with the average income of workers increasing by 6.8%.
On the morning of November 6, opening the question and answer session, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang reported to the National Assembly on the implementation of a number of resolutions on thematic supervision and questioning.
Completed and put into use 659km of expressway
Regarding the fields of planning and investment, finance and banking, the Deputy Prime Minister said that many important results have been achieved in recent times.
In particular, public investment is restructured to ensure focus and key points, avoiding dispersion, waste and inefficiency; discipline and order in public investment are enhanced; disbursement of public investment capital is promoted; attracting FDI, ODA and preferential loans has achieved many positive results.
5 working groups and 26 working delegations of the Government inspected and urged the disbursement of public investment capital, removed difficulties and obstacles, and promoted production and business in localities.

The Government has thoroughly implemented savings in regular expenditures; strictly controlled the budget deficit, public debt, government debt, and national foreign debt within the limits permitted by the National Assembly.
The practice of thrift and anti-waste has been promoted and achieved many positive results. Specifically, from 2016 to 2021, over 350 trillion VND has been saved.
In addition, the Government has promptly and effectively implemented many policies on tax, fee and land rent exemption and extension to support businesses and people. Since the beginning of 2023, the operating interest rate has been reduced 4 times by 0.5-2%; implemented a credit package of 120 trillion VND for social housing,...
However, in these areas, there are still limitations and shortcomings such as disbursement of public investment capital, implementation of support policies for businesses to borrow in the 40 trillion VND package of the socio-economic recovery and development program that has not met requirements...
Regarding the fields of industry and trade, agriculture and rural development, transportation, construction, natural resources and environment, the Deputy Prime Minister also said that many outstanding results have been achieved.
The Government has submitted to the National Assembly a decision on investment policies for six key national transport projects with a total investment capital of nearly 400 trillion VND.
From 2021 to present, 659km of expressways have been completed and put into use, bringing the total length put into operation to 1,822km; striving to complete and exceed the target of 3,000km of expressways by the end of 2025 according to Resolution of the 13th Congress...

"In the coming time, the Government and the Prime Minister will focus on directing ministries, branches and localities to make more efforts in implementing the National Assembly's Resolutions on thematic supervision and questioning," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
