Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended the opening ceremony of the new school year at a school in the mountainous region of Hoa Binh.

TPO – On September 5, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and his delegation attended the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024-2025 at Tuan Dao Primary and Secondary School, Tuan Dao Commune, Lac Son District (Hoa Binh), presenting computers and bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties.

Also attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong; Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Secretary of Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Hoa Binh province and all teachers and students of Tuan Dao Primary and Secondary School.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long stated that to turn Hoa Binh into a province with developed industry, tourism, and services and improve the quality of life of its people, it is only possible through education and training.

Through the new learning path, we can have high-quality human resources, create people with capacity, knowledge, and good moral qualities right from when they are still in school, so that they can preserve traditional cultural identity, and continue the generations to build a rich and beautiful homeland. This is the responsibility of all levels, all sectors, of each family, school, including teachers and students of the school.

Deputy Prime Minister beats the drum to open the new school year 2024 - 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister assessed that the new school year 2024-2025 is of great significance, marking the end of the term of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, and the first school year implementing Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the Politburo to continue implementing the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference, 11th tenure, on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training; in which the focus is on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training.

Tuan Dao Primary and Secondary School is a school in a mountainous commune of Lac Son district.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that he hopes that leaders at all levels and teachers will continue to combine the educational principle of “Learning goes hand in hand with practice, school is linked with family and society”, persistently implementing the goal of improving the quality of education. Effectively implement the 2018 general education program, develop digital education, smart education, education adapted to the development of artificial intelligence, etc. to improve the quality of human resources.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, mass organizations, parents and all people of Hoa Binh province to continue to pay attention to and invest in education; pay appropriate attention and investment to the development of education in remote, isolated and most disadvantaged areas of the province, in order to ensure good implementation of social equity in education, including Tuan Dao Primary and Secondary School.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the delegation presented 5 sets of computers to Tuan Dao Primary and Secondary School; 20 bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties; and 20 scholarships worth 1 million VND to students.

The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province also awarded 20 scholarships from the Provincial Children's Fund worth VND500,000/scholarship and 20 sets of school supplies worth VND495,000/set. The leaders of the provincial Department of Education and Training awarded 20 scholarships worth VND500,000/scholarship to poor students who have overcome difficulties.
