Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoang Hiep said: There is still much work to be done, but with the water flow and discharge flow, we affirm that Thac Ba Hydropower Plant is safe.
It will take about 1-2 more days for the lake to return to the allowable water level and people in the area must still stay in shelters to guard against possible unforeseen events.

Deputy Minister Hiep said that with the weather forecast, the Thac Ba Hydropower problem will be resolved well, the water level will drop below the allowable threshold.
Rainfall forecast in this area in the next 48 hours is about 40-50 mm and in the next 24 hours it is about 15-20 mm.

Currently, the authorities have calculated all options and proactively prepared forces to respond with the spirit of minimizing damage, in which people's lives are paramount.
