Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha held talks with Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan

On April 2, within the framework of the official visit to Armenia of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha held talks with Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan was pleased to welcome Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha to Armenia; affirming that the relationship between the two countries has always been closely and sincerely connected, which is an important foundation and great potential for the two countries to continue developing relations in the coming time.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha expressed his impressions of his first visit to Armenia, a beautiful and hospitable country; shared good and profound memories with his former Armenian friends, affirming that the two countries have great potential and room to promote traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation in many fields.

Appreciating the results of the Vietnam - Armenia Business Dialogue held the same morning, the two Deputy Prime Ministers agreed that the two sides need to continue to strengthen connections and exchange measures to create favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to participate in investment and trade promotion activities held in each country.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha affirmed that Vietnam and Armenia have many similarities in culture and history, and have a good relationship foundation such as always cooperating and supporting each other. Vietnam has many officials who studied in Armenia and are currently making many efforts to contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

Sharing the development situation of Vietnam in recent times, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that in order to achieve double-digit growth in the coming time, Vietnam needs to make great efforts, including expanding and promoting relations with other countries, including Armenia. Assessing that Armenia has many strengths in the fields of agriculture , agricultural processing and food industry, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha affirmed that Vietnam also has many strengths in many fields, accordingly, the two countries can export goods to each other's markets without competition; at the same time, the two countries can expand cooperation to new areas with many prospects such as digital transformation, new technology, AI, new energy, clean energy, etc.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia agreed with the sharing and assessment of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, and affirmed that relevant agencies of Armenia are ready to discuss with the Vietnamese side to remove difficulties and promote relations between the two countries; emphasizing that the two countries are geographically distant, so efforts are needed to strengthen transport connectivity, including measures to reduce transportation costs so that goods can penetrate each other's markets and the region.

Acknowledging Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha's proposals on removing technical barriers in economic and trade relations between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Armenian Deputy Prime Minister agreed to do his utmost to work with Vietnam to resolve difficulties and is ready to conduct bilateral or multilateral negotiations.

The two Deputy Prime Ministers focused on discussing a number of measures to promote bilateral relations in the coming time, such as connecting traffic and multimodal transport to bring goods from both countries to each other's markets and those of countries in Asia, Europe and the world market; considering preferential visa policies to facilitate citizens of both countries when traveling...

To further promote economic and trade relations, the two Deputy Prime Ministers agreed on the need to promote the early establishment of an Intergovernmental Committee between the two countries to quickly resolve issues arising in economic and trade relations between the two countries.

The two Deputy Prime Ministers agreed that there is much room for cooperation in tourism and education and training; the two Deputy Prime Ministers emphasized the need to open direct flights between the two countries, exempt visas for citizens and businesses, simplify procedures, and sign a cooperation agreement in the field of education and training.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha respectfully invited Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan to soon visit and work in Vietnam. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan happily accepted and promised to arrange it at a suitable time.
