Within the framework of the Conference to announce the Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning, this morning, December 14, in Chon Thanh town, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project, the section through Binh Phuoc province, and the announcement of phase 2, Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, took place.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and delegates attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project, the section passing through Binh Phuoc province and announced the second phase of Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; former Politburo member, former President Nguyen Minh Triet; leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; leaders of provinces and cities in the Southeast region; Chinese and Indonesian Consulates in Ho Chi Minh City; Vietnam Business Association in China and diplomatic agencies.
On the side of Binh Phuoc province, there were: Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thi Hang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien; leaders and former leaders of the province through the periods; representatives of departments, branches, districts, towns, cities, and investors attending the ceremony.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway construction project, the section through Binh Phuoc, is invested by the Binh Phuoc Construction Investment Management Board with a length of about 6.6 km, a design speed of 100 to 120 km/h, with a total investment of 1,474 billion VND. Implementation period is 2024-2026. After completion, the project will combine with the North - South Expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section to create traffic axes connecting the Central Highlands and Southeast regions, shortening travel time, transportation costs and ensuring traffic safety.
General Director of Becamex IDC Corporation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex Binh Phuoc Company Pham Ngoc Thuan reported on the implementation process of phase 2 project.
Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway is one of the eight national key transport projects, assessed by the Prime Minister as a strategic transport route, planned to connect with the Central Highlands through major industrial production centers of Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong towards Ho Chi Minh City, synchronously connecting with a series of expressways, seaports and Long Thanh international airport. The project has a total length of about 70km, of which the section passing through Binh Phuoc province is 6.6km, through Binh Duong is 52km.

Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park is located in Chon Thanh town, with a total planned land use area of over 4,500 hectares. Of which, the industrial park is over 2,448 hectares, the rest is residential area. The project is built on a model combining industry, services and urban development with a total investment budget of up to 20,000 billion VND. In phase 1, the project has attracted registered capital of over 1.1 billion USD. At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province and the investor, Becamex - Binh Phuoc Technical Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company, performed the groundbreaking ceremony and officially started construction of phase 2 of Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park.
General Director of Becamex IDC Corporation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex - Binh Phuoc Company Pham Ngoc Thuan said that to meet the upcoming development needs, the company will invest in phase 2 with an area of 500 hectares, with a total investment of about 2,200 billion VND. The project is expected to create a new look, meeting the industrial development needs of Binh Phuoc province in the coming time.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and Provincial Party Secretary Ton Ngoc Hanh presented many gifts to 18 households in the project area.
Becamex - Binh Phuoc Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company also donated 500 solidarity houses, worth a total of 40 billion VND, to work with local authorities to take care of people's lives.
