At the conference, the Vinh Phuc Provincial National Assembly Delegation informed voters of the main contents that will be considered by the National Assembly at the upcoming session, scheduled to open on May 5. Notably, the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution and related laws to streamline the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW; a report assessing the additional socio -economic development plan for 2024 and the implementation of the plan for 2025.

The delegation also informed about the socio-economic situation of the whole country and Vinh Phuc province in the first quarter of 2025, and reported on the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations since the beginning of the National Assembly's term.

Voters in Vinh Phuc province expressed their interest in many current issues, including Vietnam's response after the US announced high reciprocal tariffs on goods imported from Vietnam; solutions to ensure that administrative procedures are not interrupted when restructuring the apparatus; orientation to achieve the growth target of 8% in 2025 and double digits in the period of 2026-2030. In addition, there are social issues such as ensuring food safety and hygiene, managing extra teaching and learning, supporting people to rent houses when building resettlement areas, accessing clean water, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of voters, and shared some important information about the country's situation and the Government's strategic solutions in the coming time.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that in the context of the complicated developments in the world, our country has maintained high growth momentum, and relations with partners continue to expand and deepen. Regarding trade issues with the United States, after the US announced the reciprocal tax rate on April 2, the two countries' senior leaders had important discussions. The Vietnamese Government has established a Working Group on Cooperation and Adaptation to the US's Economic and Trade Policy Adjustments, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son; and at the same time, a Government Negotiation Delegation headed by Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien was established.

“Vietnam will be calm, confident, and clear-headed in handling the situation, with the highest spirit of maintaining and promoting stable and sustainable trade relations with the United States – especially in the context of the two countries celebrating the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in 2025,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Regarding the growth target, the Deputy Prime Minister said: “To become a high-income developed country by 2045, there is no other way but to increase the growth rate.” To achieve a growth rate of over 8% by 2025, the Government has assigned growth targets to each locality according to Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP, in which Vinh Phuc province must achieve 9%.

The Government is also strongly promoting administrative procedure reform, with the goal of eliminating at least 30% of unnecessary business investment conditions and reducing at least 30% of the time and cost of administrative procedures. Restrictive regulations in the Public Investment Law, the Budget Law, etc. will also be amended to facilitate development.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked localities to actively contribute opinions from practice to ensure that law amendments are appropriate and can be effectively implemented immediately after promulgation.

In addition, the Government will focus on accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, aiming to complete 3,000 km of highways by the end of 2025, while preparing key projects such as the North-South high-speed railway.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that science and technology, innovation and digital transformation will be the main driving forces for development in the coming time. The private economy continues to be identified as the main driving force for growth; economic diplomacy, with science and technology as the core, will continue to be promoted in the process of deep international integration.

"The spirit of the Government is: what is said must be done, what is committed must be implemented, what is done must have specific, quantifiable results," Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed.
