Amending the Advertising Law: Will it clean up advertising on cyberspace?

(NB&CL) The Draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising is being discussed by delegates in the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly. The management agency's proposal to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Law on Advertising brings high expectations, especially when many regulations to prevent false advertising in cyberspace have been proposed. In particular, public opinion is particularly interested in 2 provisions on: advertising in cyberspace; rights and obligations of those who transmit advertising products. However, many opinions say that the Draft Law (amended) still has a number of provisions that cannot resolve the current violations of advertising activities in cyberspace.
