44-year-old Associate Professor Appointed Vice President of Hanoi National University

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong was appointed to the position of Vice President of Hanoi National University.

The new Vice President of Hanoi National University, Dao Thanh Truong, was born in 1980 in Hai Phong.

In 2001, he received a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

In 2004, he received a master's degree in sociology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

In 2010, he received his PhD in Sociology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Mr. Dao Thanh Truong has advanced theoretical qualifications and was appointed to the position of associate professor of sociology in 2016.

Mr. Truong is an expert in the field of policy research and analysis; science, technology and innovation management. With his contributions to training and developing human resources for science and technology management, building and developing postgraduate training programs on science and technology management in Vietnam, he was awarded the Medal "For the cause of science and technology" by the Ministry of Science and Technology (2017), and a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister (2020).

Mr. Dao Thanh Truong has held many important leadership and management positions such as: Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management, Head of the Faculty of Management Science, Director of the Institute of Policy and Management (Key Research Center of Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Vice President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Head of the Executive Board of the Scientists' Club, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Thus, Hanoi National University currently has 4 Vice Presidents including: Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Bao Son; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hieu and Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong.
