Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs holds the position of Director of the Center for the 4th Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City

(PLVN) - On April 4, Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, presented the Decision appointing Mr. Le Truong Duy, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, to the position of Director of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC C4IR). Mr. Le Truong Duy's term of office is 5 years from April 1.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Hoan commented: Mr. Le Truong Duy has the capacity, vision, initiative and enthusiasm for his work. He believes that Mr. Le Truong Duy will undertake the new task well, operate the Center effectively, and accompany the City and the whole country in the digital transformation, digital economy and technology development.

HCMC C4IR Director Le Truong Duy expressed his honor to be entrusted with the new responsibility. Mr. Duy said that this is the beginning of a new mission associated with the important role, function and position of the center, especially in the development requirements of the country in the new era of the nation.

The HCMC C4IR Center was officially inaugurated on September 25, 2024, as a place for research cooperation, policy proposals, resource mobilization, and technology transfer in the field of industrial transformation. C4IR is also expected to promote Vietnam's industrial transformation towards a modern, creative, and green economy, promoting innovation and technology.

Mr. Le Truong Duy was born on October 29, 1985, originally from Gia Loc commune, Trang Bang district, Tay Ninh province. Mr. Duy has a degree in Advanced Political Theory, Master of Public Administration, Bachelor of International Relations.

Mr. Le Truong Duy has many years of experience working at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, through a number of key positions such as: Deputy Director and then Director of the Center for Foreign Affairs Services under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs (now the Center for Foreign Affairs Services and International Conferences); Intern Deputy Director and then Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs.
