CTTĐT - On the afternoon of April 1, 2025, Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected a number of medical facilities after implementing the merger project.

Comrade Vu Thi Hien Hanh inspected the preparation of facilities and human resources after merging 5 specialized hospitals into the Provincial General Hospital.

Implementing the conclusion of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Steering Committee summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the province, Yen Bai province merged 5 specialized hospitals: Lung Hospital, Mental Hospital, Endocrinology Hospital, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation Hospital into Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital and officially operated from April 1, 2025.

The merger of hospitals is a major, strategic policy, affirming the highest political determination as well as receiving the consensus and support of medical experts, leaders at all levels, all cadres and employees of the health sector and the People.

Over the years, Yen Bai province has always identified: Protecting and taking care of people's health as one of the top important political tasks; especially the viewpoint of "Developing a synchronous and comprehensive health system in the direction of modernity, active, proactive and effective prevention; improving people's enjoyment of health care". At the same time, it has paid attention to prioritizing resources to serve the development of the health sector, investing in facilities, medical equipment, developing human resources in the health sector...

The province has also issued many projects and policies to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, preventive medicine, and primary health care. However, in the face of the requirements of the new period, medical examination and treatment must be continuously improved in both quality and efficiency. This has posed an urgent task in modernizing facilities, medical equipment, and improving the professional qualifications of the medical staff, along with the need to reorganize the existing human resources to ensure greater efficiency and quality. Therefore, the main goal of merging specialized hospitals into the Provincial General Hospital is to create a larger general hospital with more spacious and modern facilities, building a medical staff with better qualifications and expertise; meeting the needs and creating the most favorable conditions for people when coming to the hospital for examination and treatment at the two facilities.

Through inspections at a number of medical examination and treatment units, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh highly appreciated the thoughtful and thorough preparation of the staff and medical staff in arranging facilities and human resources immediately after the merger to ensure timely and continuous medical examination and treatment without interruption. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that in order to ensure effective medical examination and treatment, the health sector should direct the Provincial General Hospital to urgently stabilize the organization and arrangement of human resources; urgently review and count administrative and professional human resources, arrange, transfer human resources between the two facilities in accordance with job positions, ensure optimization of departments, offices, and divisions; assign work reasonably and effectively, and promote the capacity of staff. For surplus human resources, there must be a reasonable arrangement plan in accordance with regulations. For human resources that are lacking compared to regulations, promptly report and propose to the Provincial People's Committee for appropriate recruitment.

Organize a review and ensure that the hospital's facilities and equipment at the two facilities after the merger are synchronous, modern and meet the medical examination and treatment needs of the people. At the same time, it is necessary to have a plan and solution to repair and renovate the facilities; transfer, maintain, upgrade and purchase modern medical equipment to create the best working environment and service for patients. Continue to maintain and further improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, build a modern, high-quality, specialized, friendly and professional hospital, meeting the diverse medical examination and treatment needs of the people. Develop a hospital development strategy after the merger and a project to develop the provincial general hospital into a provincial general hospital with regional functions; establish and implement a unified and synchronous management process at the two facilities, ensuring effective coordination between centers, departments, divisions and units. Strengthen the application of information technology in hospital management and have an effective financial management mechanism. Carry out medical communication well, and propagate and guide people to use medical examination and treatment services at 2 facilities.
