On the morning of July 23, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense (PCTT-TKCN&PTDS) inspected a number of landslide-prone locations in Ha Long City.

Inspecting the embankment under construction in Zone 5, Ha Lam Ward, he requested that after the storm, the city area will continue to have rain. Therefore, Ha Long City needs to review all locations with potential risks of landslides, embankment works under construction, especially in residential areas, and report to the Command Board.
At the same time, arrange for people to be on duty, immediately deploy emergency evacuation measures when necessary; implement shielding and blocking measures, arrange forces, vehicles, equipment and supplies to be ready for rescue plans when situations arise.

Inspecting the slope system on the Son Duong - Dong Son route, he emphasized: This is a new route under construction on complex mountainous terrain, the area's geology is unstable, there is a high slope system, and a high risk of landslides. Therefore, Ha Long City directs the investor and localities along the route to monitor, grasp, and update specific situations; place warning signs at key locations; prepare vehicles, human resources, and arrange patrol forces to promptly detect and respond to incidents, ensuring smooth traffic and absolute safety for people and property.
