Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Phung Thanh Vinh attended the P4G Summit

On the afternoon of April 16, the 4th Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit, Vietnam 2025 opened in Hanoi.

General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a policy message; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the opening ceremony.

With the theme “Sustainable green transformation, people-centered”, the conference was attended by many heads of state and senior leaders: Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone; Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali; Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Neth Savoeun; Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina J. Mohammed; Ministers of various countries; leaders of international organizations; scholars, experts and many Vietnamese and international businesses.

Comrade Phung Thanh Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee attended the conference. Also attending were Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Tran Khanh Thuc and leaders of the Department of Science and Technology.

Creating momentum to promote green transformation,

sustainable development

This is the 4th time the P4G Conference has been held and the first multilateral Green Growth Summit hosted by Vietnam.

Taking place from April 16-17, with more than 1,000 delegates from more than 40 countries and international organizations attending, the conference is a series of main activities such as: Green Growth Exhibition, Opening Session, Summit, High-level Discussion Session, Dialogue Session between businesses and leaders and Closing Session.

The conference focused on solutions to promote green transformation and sustainable development, joining hands to build a peaceful, safe, equal, prosperous and climate-resilient world, a green planet and a green future for every citizen.

Delivering a policy message at the conference, General Secretary To Lam thanked the leaders, distinguished guests, and delegates who attended the conference.

"Hosting the 4th P4G Conference is of great significance to Vietnam. Firstly, to promote its role as a good friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of P4G and the international community. Secondly, to reaffirm its commitment to sustainable development, energy transition, and the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. Thirdly, to contribute to raising awareness of international cooperation and to promote the role and voice of developing countries in the field of green growth and sustainable development," the General Secretary affirmed.

Comrade To Lam expressed his belief that the conference would create new momentum to promote cooperation between P4G and its partners, between countries in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, between the public and private sectors to promote green transformation and sustainable development, and green finance.

Opening the 4th P4G Summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent the message: “Vietnam hopes and believes that the spirit of solidarity, unanimity, courage to rise up and creative intelligence of nations will truly become an unparalleled strength, contributing to promoting green transformation and inclusive, sustainable development globally, all for the people, by the people and for the happiness and prosperity of all people on our beloved green planet.”

Nghe An commits to " green - digital - sustainable" development

Attending the 4th P4G Summit - the leading forum promoting public-private cooperation for green growth and sustainable development, Nghe An clearly demonstrated its determination to deeply integrate and connect with the global green economy, contributing to the implementation of the United Nations' sustainable development goals by 2030.

With a strategic location in the North Central region, the largest natural area in the country, high-quality human resources and a developed education system, Nghe An has great potential for green growth and innovation.

In agriculture, the province has successfully implemented many high-tech application models, typically TH Group with its circular and green economic orientation. This enterprise integrates modern technologies in production, from monitoring the health of cows with electronic chips to automatic irrigation systems and digital maps of raw material areas, contributing to improving efficiency and protecting the environment.

In terms of industry, Nghe An attracts prestigious infrastructure investors such as WHA, VSIP, and builds ecological industrial parks. Thanks to synchronous support policies and an open investment environment, the province has been among the leading groups in the country in attracting FDI for the past 3 years. Many large technology corporations such as Foxconn, Luxshare, Goertek, Everwin, etc. have invested billions of USD here.

Nghe An is also forming an innovation and startup ecosystem, aiming to become a startup hub in the North Central region. Many local startups have successfully raised capital from 1-2 million USD. Clean energy projects such as solar power, wind power, and biomass power are being strongly implemented, contributing to realizing the goal of net zero emissions.

Digital transformation continues to be promoted in healthcare, education, resource management and climate change response. The province focuses on building a modern, transparent administration, improving the quality of public services, serving people and businesses.

In the coming time, Nghe An will identify three key factors to enhance its competitiveness: Innovation, science and technology transfer, and development of high-quality human resources. The province will prioritize organic agriculture, clean processing industry, renewable energy, and circular economy; develop STEM education and train digital human resources to serve the digital economy and the 4.0 industrial revolution.

Green transformation is no longer an option, but an inevitable requirement. Nghe An commits to developing based on three pillars: green - digital - sustainable, with people at the center, technology as the driving force and knowledge as the foundation.

The province wishes to continue to be a reliable partner of central ministries, branches, international organizations, research institutes and domestic and foreign business communities, working together for a harmonious, inclusive and sustainable future.
