According to the report, the Dong Xoai Urban Area - Central Park project has a scale of 56.1 hectares, of which the land recovered from households is 49.2 hectares/1,190 plots of land. Up to now, the City People's Committee has issued a decision to recover land and approved the compensation plan, supporting 401 plots of land/18.4 hectares with a total amount of 187 billion VND. Currently, 185 plots/10 hectares of land have been paid, with an amount of 96 billion VND and the site has been handed over to the investor; the remaining 216 plots/8.6 hectares with an amount of 92.6 billion VND have not been allocated funds for payment.

The Suoi Cam Lake Tourism Area Project Phase 2 has a scale of 166.98 hectares, of which 139.1 hectares/1,014 plots of land recovered from households and individuals. Up to now, the city has issued a decision to recover land and approved a compensation plan, supporting 191 plots/total area of ​​40.2 hectares/total amount of about 351 billion VND. Currently, 115 plots/30.9 hectares/total amount of about 247.8 billion VND have been paid, households have received money and handed over the site to the investor. The remaining 76 plots/9.3 hectares/103.2 billion VND have not been allocated funds by the investor to pay. Currently, the 2 projects have 1,621 plots of land without approved compensation plans.

Director of Land Fund Development Center Nguyen Bac Manh discussed the difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing site clearance and resettlement support.

At the meeting, leaders of the People's Committee, the City Land Fund Development Center and the People's Committees of Tan Phu, Tien Thanh and Tan Binh wards - where the projects are being implemented - raised difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, especially the shortcomings in compensation, support and resettlement policies; the delay in paying compensation to people. At the same time, they discussed with provincial leaders, departments and investors of the projects about the thoughts, aspirations, proposals, recommendations and wishes of people directly affected by the two above-mentioned projects.

Dong Xoai City People's Committee directs the Land Fund Development Center and agencies, units of communes and wards to focus highly on compensation, support, and resettlement. During the implementation process, regularly report to the Provincial People's Committee, implement well the information and exchange regime, promptly remove obstacles and difficulties to join hands with investors to speed up the progress of project implementation./.
