Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang received and worked with the Indian Business Association (INCHAM) in Hanoi

On the morning of April 15, 2025, the INCHAM delegation in Hanoi led by Mr. Navendu Kumar, Chairman of INCHAM in Hanoi, Director of Alleviare Life Sciences LTđ Company, visited and worked with the Provincial People's Committee.

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Le Duc Giang, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments, branches and functional units of the province.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang gave an overview of the province's natural conditions, culture - history as well as the socio-economic development situation. He emphasized: Thanh Hoa is a large province in the country, with favorable conditions for international trade, such as: Nghi Son Economic Zone, Nghi Son Deep-water Port, Tho Xuan Airport... Thanh Hoa province is also actively training and improving the quality of human resources to welcome investment capital flows in many fields, meeting the goals and strategies for socio-economic development of the province.

In addition to the central government's general investment attraction policies, Thanh Hoa province also issued specific support policies, as well as committed to creating all favorable conditions in terms of administrative procedures and legal support for investors to develop production and business effectively.

He emphasized that in recent years, in the spirit of good cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and India, Thanh Hoa province has increased exports to the Indian market, especially after the AIFTA (ASEAN - India) Trade in Goods Agreement officially took effect in 2023. Thanh Hoa's export turnover to the Indian market in 2024 reached 30.13 million USD, an increase of 21.3% over the same period, with the main items being garments, footwear, seafood, agricultural products, electric wires, etc.

He hoped that Indian businesses would continue to research and invest in many fields that Thanh Hoa is attracting, such as automation, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, etc. He also hoped that INCHAM in Hanoi would be a bridge to bring the cooperative relationship between India and Vietnam to a new level; creating opportunities for Indian businesses to invest deeply in Thanh Hoa province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Navendu Kumar, Chairman of INCHAM in Hanoi, sincerely thanked the leaders of Thanh Hoa province for taking the time to receive and work with the delegation; at the same time, he expressed his impression of the historical and cultural traditions as well as the scale, strategic importance and economic growth rate of Thanh Hoa.

Mr. Navendu Kumar hopes that Thanh Hoa province will create favorable conditions for businesses from India to explore investment promotion in the locality. Especially in areas where India has strengths, such as: high-tech pharmaceuticals, organic food, IT, automation, manufacturing processing, tourism...

Mr. Navendu Kumar expressed his hope that the authorities of Thanh Hoa province would provide information on investment mechanisms and policies as well as allow Indian enterprises to survey the actual operations in the industrial park to understand the investment and business process, and lay the foundation for a closer and more effective cooperation relationship. At the same time, consider soon signing a Memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation between ICHAM in Hanoi and Thanh Hoa province.

After listening to the recommendations of INCHAM in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang agreed that the two sides would sign a Memorandum of Understanding on a number of issues. In particular, INCHAM in Hanoi and Thanh Hoa province will study and discuss in depth the field of medicine and pharmacy; at the same time, call on Indian enterprises to research and invest in Thanh Hoa in 6 areas: Health, IT, automation, garment, hotel and restaurant and biotechnology. He assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Provincial Business Association to coordinate with INCHAM in Hanoi to promote exchange activities, towards successfully establishing effective investment cooperation relationships in the coming time.
