Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh worked with the People's Committee of Phu My district.

According to the report of Phu My District People's Committee, the total number of households in need of housing support in 2025 in the district is 634 households (274 newly built households, 370 repaired households); of which, households with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs are 451 households (156 newly built households, 295 repaired households); poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty are 183 households (118 newly built households, 65 repaired households). The implementation cost is over 27.2 billion VND.

By March 10, 2025, the whole district had supported 376 households (189 new households, 187 households repaired), reaching 59.31%; completed and put into use 95 households. The total disbursed budget was 905 million VND.

In addition to the state budget and loans from the social policy bank, the district has mobilized an additional 2.4 billion VND. Currently, the District's Steering Committee for the Fund to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses is developing regulations and managing the use of funds in accordance with regulations. At the same time, localities have mobilized other resources to support households in difficult circumstances and single elderly households to build houses, such as: 1,349 working days; 22m3 of wood; 03 tons of cement; 7,000 bricks; 26m3 of construction sand; 349m3 of land;...

After listening to the report of Phu My District People's Committee and inspecting the actual situation in the area, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh acknowledged the efforts of Phu My District in implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

To ensure the completion of the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in May 2025, in the coming time, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh requested the People's Committee of Phu My district to continue to direct the review of households eligible for housing support; closely follow the locality, monitor and direct the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; direct specialized departments to regularly synthesize and update the progress of the Program implementation for the Steering Committee to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. In addition, the District People's Committee presides over and coordinates with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, resolve issues related to land allocation and issuance of land use right certificates for subjects receiving housing support according to regulations.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh also requested the District People's Committee to direct the People's Committees of communes and towns to closely follow each specific case of support, to have proposals suitable to the conditions and circumstances of the household. For households that are unable to do it themselves (elderly households, households with disabled people, households with sick people, etc.), the localities are assigned to direct relevant departments, contact workers, advance funds and support households throughout the process of building new or repairing houses. For cases where groups and teams receive work directly from the household owner, the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns must grasp the situation, to have timely intervention solutions to ensure the progress and quality of the project. For cases where households are unable to respond, the localities mobilize and mobilize local resources to provide additional support for households to build new or repair houses.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh congratulated Mr. Nguyen Kinh's household (in Vinh Phu 3 village, My Tai commune) on receiving support to build a new house.

The Department of Construction researches and designs typical model houses, ensuring technical requirements, quality, efficiency, and suitability with the culture and customs of each region for households to refer to in building houses suitable to the specific circumstances of each household.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations in the district actively participate in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; propagate the Party and Government's policy on supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses to all classes of people; supervise the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in localities and households to ensure fairness and avoid profiteering; mobilize working days and non-budgetary funds to provide additional support to households in extreme difficulty and unable to respond.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh requested Phu My district to start construction of all remaining houses before March 15, 2025. Members of the District Steering Committee in charge of communes and towns regularly inspect and supervise each house and each case to encourage and motivate households to make efforts; assign responsibility to each level, each sector, each locality to effectively eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area and ensure the completion of the plan or strive to exceed the plan issued by the province./.
