Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh met with National Assembly Deputies of Vinh Phuc province from different periods.

On the morning of April 24, at the National Assembly House, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, met with National Assembly deputies of Vinh Phuc province through the periods who are participating in the "return to the source" journey towards the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026). Attending the meeting were Comrade Nguyen Van Manh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and National Assembly deputies of the province through the periods.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the activities of the National Assembly Delegation and National Assembly Deputies of Vinh Phuc province over the years for fulfilling their role as representatives of the People; actively participating in legislative and supervisory activities of the National Assembly, being a reliable bridge between the Party, the State and the People. In the context that the country is vigorously implementing the revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus, including the decision to merge Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Hoa Binh provinces, establishing a new administrative unit named Phu Tho province.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh affirmed: this is a long-term visionary step to promote the advantages of regional connectivity, streamline the apparatus and create a new development space with a larger and more synchronous scale. With many similarities in geography, culture and socio-economic connections, it is a great opportunity to form a new development center in the Northern midland region, where both industrial and service potential and cultural and historical depth converge.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh believes that regardless of the model, Vinh Phuc will continue to develop strongly, maintain its identity, promote its revolutionary tradition, and accompany the whole country in the cause of rapid, sustainable and comprehensive development.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh hopes that former National Assembly deputies will continue to make valuable contributions to the development process of the National Assembly, especially in sharing experiences and development orientations; incumbent National Assembly deputies will promote a sense of responsibility, closely connect with voters, always be pioneers in the country's innovation, successfully carry out the revolution of institutional reform, streamlining the organizational apparatus; innovation, national digital transformation and the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

As part of the journey back to the source, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and National Assembly Deputies of different periods visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; visited the Ho Chi Minh President relic site at the Presidential Palace, the National Assembly House and the Tan Trao National Special Relic Site, and the National Assembly Standing Committee Relic Site in Tuyen Quang Province.
