Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh attended the opening ceremony at Nghia Phuong Secondary School.

Nghia Phuong Secondary School has invested in building spacious facilities with full functional rooms and subject classrooms according to regulations. In August 2023, the school was recognized as meeting national standards level 1 and recognized for educational quality assessment level 2.

In the past school year, the school actively innovated management, applied information technology in teaching and learning; promoted scientific research movement, creating changes in improving the quality of education. Thanks to that, the overall quality of education was significantly improved, 100% of 9th grade students registered passed the 10th grade entrance exam; the quality of key subjects made great progress.

In the past 5 years, the school's students have won 19 national prizes, 47 provincial prizes and 248 district prizes. The school was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2022 school year; and Certificates of Merit for the school years: 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2023-2024.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Party, State and National Assembly leaders, comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh commended and congratulated the results that Bac Giang province, the education sector, Luc Nam district in general, and teachers and students of Nghia Phuong Secondary School in particular achieved in the past school year.

In particular, Bac Giang's education sector has achieved outstanding results, with education quality among the top in the country. In 2024, Bac Giang education contributed greatly to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese delegation in regional and international Olympic competitions with 4 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal.

In that general achievement, Luc Nam district also has many important contributions. The Party Committees and authorities of Luc Nam district have always paid attention to devoting investment resources to the school system in the area, increasing the rate of solidification of schools and classrooms to a high level.

Thanks to that attention, the district's education sector has strived and achieved many positive results: 32 provincial cultural and scientific and technical awards; 42 medals in the field of physical education and sports. In particular, the school's students won 12 awards at the national Mathematical Olympiad.

He emphasized that the new school year begins with many new expectations and new beliefs, so the tasks are also heavier. To successfully complete the goals, he asked the staff and teachers of Nghia Phuong School to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, and strive to become shining examples of continuous learning and training.

The students continue to promote the tradition of studiousness of their homeland, strive to study, practice, and be good children, good students, and become good citizens, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.

He suggested that the education sector of Bac Giang province focus on directing innovation in teaching content and methods; further improving the quality of education; arousing will, aspiration, creativity, humanity, and knowledge accumulation in each student so that they can become global citizens, contributing to the construction of their homeland and country.

Local authorities pay attention and create all conditions for teachers and students to have the best learning environment.

On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh donated 100 million VND to the Scholarship Fund of Nghia Phuong Secondary School; 26 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to 26 excellent students, 50 bicycles to 50 disadvantaged students of Nghia Phuong School and 250 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to preschool students in the district.
