On the occasion of the Lao New Year, Bun Pimay, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh cordially sent his best wishes to the Lao National Assembly Delegation and the Chairman of the Lao National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee. Through the Delegation, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly respectfully sent his regards and best wishes for the New Year to Lao National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane, Lao National Assembly Vice Chairman Chaleun Yiapaoher and the Lao National Assembly leaders.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated and congratulated the Lao Party, State and People on their achievements in socio-economic development and the results in the arrangement and reorganization of the political system; he deeply believed that the two Parties, States and People of the two countries will continue to be close, share experiences, support each other and accompany each other on the new path of the two countries and two peoples.

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lao National Assembly said that within the framework of this visit, the Compilation and Publishing Committee of the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Delegation had a very effective working session, reaching consensus on many important contents and some technical issues related to the compilation and publication of the book; emphasizing that the Lao National Assembly attaches great importance to the compilation and publication of the book, considering it an important document contributing to the widespread dissemination and raising awareness of the people of the two countries about the close relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly welcomed and highly appreciated the coordination between the two sides in compiling and publishing the book “50 years of relations between the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the National Assembly of the Lao PDR - Comprehensive cooperation and development”; emphasizing that the publication of the book is very meaningful on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the relations between the two National Assemblies; the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly; suggesting that the two sides continue to coordinate closely and promptly complete the draft to soon publish the book. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the book will be a valuable document, helping to systematize and demonstrate the good relationship between the two National Assemblies; thereby, educating the young generation of the two countries about the good relationship between the two National Assemblies.
The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lao National Assembly affirmed his hope that the two sides will continue to closely coordinate, actively and promptly complete the remaining stages in compiling and publishing the book to ensure progress and quality. At the same time, he pointed out that the relationship between the two National Assemblies has been continuously strengthened in both breadth and depth, demonstrated through regular delegation exchanges between the two sides at many levels; activities to support human resource training and other cooperation projects; he hoped that the two sides will continue to cooperate closely, realize agreements and measures to promote cooperation agreed upon by the two sides' senior leaders so that the bilateral relationship will continue to blossom and bear fruit in the coming time.
