On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam province, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam province Duong Van Phuoc informed voters about the expected content of the program of the 9th Session and the results of some socio-economic indicators of the province in the first quarter of 2025.
Accordingly, the Ninth Session will open on May 5, reviewing and deciding on many important contents, such as amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; passing 30 draft laws, including those that are of interest to voters and the People, such as: the draft Law on Personal Data Protection; the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry; the draft Law on Chemicals (amended); the draft Law on Teachers; the draft Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises...; at the same time, reviewing and giving opinions on 6 other draft laws.
Voters of Tam Ky city expressed their support and high consensus with the Party's policy on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, strengthening people's trust in the Party and the State; agreed with the Central Government's policy on the revolution of streamlining the apparatus, building a two-level local government, merging the provincial level, not organizing the district level... Voters highly appreciated the National Assembly's consideration and approval of amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Constitution and laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era.
Voters raised a number of issues related to people's lives such as: the transportation sector; policies and regimes for former youth volunteers; proposed a plan to objectively evaluate cadres when implementing mergers and streamlining the apparatus; and proposed an effective and economical plan for surplus public assets after mergers and streamlining...
At the meeting, the leaders of Tam Ky City People's Committee answered and clarified a number of contents related to people's petitions under the authority of local authorities.
Acknowledging and appreciating the opinions and recommendations of voters, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai highlighted the efforts of the Party and State in implementing the tasks of socio-economic development of the country in the context of many complicated and unpredictable developments in the world, trade wars, supply chain disruptions, etc. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also informed about the efforts in removing institutional "bottlenecks", amending and supplementing laws, and rearranging the organizational apparatus to ensure streamlining, efficient, effective and efficient operations, creating momentum for breakthrough development.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also discussed with voters the policy of merging Quang Nam province and Da Nang city; at the same time, he stated that with this merger, the new locality will enjoy special mechanisms of a centrally-run city, and have more resources to develop the regions of Quang Nam province today.
