Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the ceremony to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the establishment of Thanh Son district (Phu Tho).

In 1833, Thanh Son district was separated from Thanh Xuyen district (into Thanh Son and Thanh Thuy districts), belonging to Hung Hoa province. After many administrative boundary adjustments, in 1903, Thanh Son district belonged to Phu Tho province.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the ceremony to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Son district.

Over 190 years of formation and development, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, Thanh Son District Party Committee has led the people of all ethnic groups in the district to achieve positive results in all fields.

Within 20 years (2002 - 2022), the total budget revenue in the area increased 60 times (average 7.7%/year). The total state budget revenue in the area in 2023 is estimated to reach 200 billion VND. Rural infrastructure has been invested in and developed, people's lives have been improved both materially and spiritually, and the appearance of the countryside has been improved and renewed.

Special and elaborate performances at the celebration.

The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, with services - industry, small-scale industry and construction accounting for 62.2%. People's quality of life has been increasingly improved, with average income per capita reaching over 37.7 million VND; the poverty rate has decreased from 28% in 2011 to 8.3%.

By mid-2023, the entire district had 6 communes and 129 areas meeting the New Rural standards. The political system and the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups continued to be built and consolidated. People's trust in the Party and the State was enhanced.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Son district.

Speaking at the ceremony, the leaders of Phu Tho province congratulated, praised and acknowledged the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Son district have strived and achieved over the past 190 years. From a mountainous, purely agricultural district with a low starting point, Thanh Son now has a comprehensive and sustainable socio-economic foundation, contributing greatly to the overall development of Phu Tho province.

In recognition of the outstanding achievements contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland, at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Son district.
