Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Truong Canh Tuyen was appointed Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee.

Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen was assigned by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On the afternoon of February 10, the Can Tho City Party Committee held a conference to implement the Secretariat's decision on personnel work. Attending the conference were Mr. Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee; Mr. Do Thanh Binh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee; Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang Province, along with leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Committee of Can Tho City and leaders of Hau Giang Province.

At the conference, Mr. Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, authorized by the Secretariat, handed over the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, to stop participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; at the same time, participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, authorized by the Secretariat, presented the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen as Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen (56 years old), from Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province, Master of Economics, Senior Political Theory. Mr. Tuyen has held the following positions: Chief of Office of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Chau Thanh District People's Committee; Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Truong Canh Tuyen said: First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee, the Central agencies, the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee and the Can Tho City Party Committee for their attention and trust in entrusting me with the important responsibility of Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. I am deeply aware that this is a great honor and also a very heavy responsibility that the Party, State, Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Can Tho City have entrusted me with, so that I can continue to train and devote myself to the common development of the City.

Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Truong Canh Tuyen added: I took on the task of Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee at a time when the Party Committee, government and people of the City are determined to successfully complete the Resolution of the 14th City Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, creating a premise to accelerate development according to the city planning goals for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the city will become the center of the Mekong Delta region in all fields.
