Ms. Vu Dang Hai Yen has resigned from her position as Permanent Vice Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of FLC.
On September 30th, FLC Group Joint Stock Company announced that Ms. Vu Hai Yen resigned from her position as Permanent Vice Chairman of FLC due to personal plans and objectives. Ms. Yen's resignation does not affect the direction, operational goals, or management philosophy of the Board of Directors.
Ms. Yen, born in 1978, holds a PhD in Economic Law. She was formerly a lecturer in the Faculty of Economic Law at Hanoi Law University. Ms. Yen joined FLC in November 2016, assuming the position of Deputy General Director and Head of the Legal Department. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors at FLC's related companies, such as FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company (ROS) and FLC AMD Investment and Mining Joint Stock Company (AMD).
In July 2022 – a few months after the events involving FLC's senior leaders – Ms. Yen resigned from her position as Deputy General Director of the group. In March 2023, she was elected as the Permanent Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of FLC.
Previously, Ms. Vu Hai Yen was also authorized by former FLC Chairman Trinh Van Quyet to represent his shareholder rights in the group, Bamboo Airways, and related rights to assets and property owned by Mr. Quyet after his arrest.
Besides Ms. Yen, another FLC board member, Mr. Ngo Dang Hoang Anh, also resigned. A month ago, Ms. Tran Thi Huong also resigned from her role as a board member and Deputy General Director in charge of administration at FLC.
Thus, the FLC Board of Directors currently has only two members: Chairman Le Ba Nguyen and Mr. Le Tien Dung. On October 15th, the company will hold an extraordinary meeting to approve the dismissal and election of additional members to the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.
At an extraordinary meeting earlier this year, FLC's leadership announced that the group's workforce had decreased by 60% following restructuring. FLC's system of member and affiliated companies now comprises 14 subsidiaries and 1 affiliated unit. The company plans for real estate revenue of approximately VND 1,200 billion this year to secure resources for project construction as committed. Regarding the hotel and resort sector, FLC aims to operate projects in Ha Long, Sam Son, Quang Binh , and Quy Nhon. The group also stated that it will seek partners to negotiate cooperation in developing certain aspects of these projects.
