In 2024, Regiment 762 will receive 180 new soldiers for training. Identifying this as a key task of the year, Party committees and commanders at all levels have focused on leading and directing resolutely with many policies and synchronous and effective solutions from the preparation stage to the process of organizing and operating scientific training, in accordance with content, program, and time; closely combining training with training of troops; checking and evaluating results in accordance with reality.
Regiment 762 is the unit assigned to train infantry combat techniques. This year, 100% of the new soldiers' test results met the requirements and were absolutely safe for people and technical equipment. In particular, training in politics, team command, logistics, techniques, AK shooting lesson 1, grenade throwing, and explosives were all excellent, and the quality of training was improved.

At the ceremony, soldier Pham Quang Trung, representing 180 new soldiers in the entire 762nd Regiment, took the oath and performed the flag-kissing ceremony. Next, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tuan, Commander of the 762nd Regiment, performed the weapon-giving ceremony for the new soldiers.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command, Major General Le Hong Nhan acknowledged and commended the achievements of the officers and soldiers during the 3-month training period. The 2024 new soldier training course of Regiment 762 has successfully completed its tasks, achieving the set goals and requirements. Each soldier has made progress in the process of studying, training and working.
Inheriting the nation's historical tradition of "Building the country must go hand in hand with defending the country" and facing the increasingly high requirements of the task of building and defending the Fatherland and building the Army, Major General Le Hong Nhan requested leaders and commanders at all levels to draw profound lessons, promptly overcome limitations and shortcomings; urgently stabilize the organization and staffing, prioritize units on combat readiness missions; proactively do well all preparation work and maintain serious training for the remaining time of 2024 to achieve high results.
At the same time, the unit focuses on breaking through training innovation according to Resolution No. 1659-NQ/QUTW dated December 20, 2022 of the Central Military Commission on improving training quality for the 2023-2030 period and the following years; perfecting the training management and operation mechanism in the direction of "concentration, unity, synchronization, efficiency"; firmly grasping and applying well the motto "Basic, practical, solid", attaching importance to synchronous and in-depth training, close to combat reality, focusing on training subjects according to the correct content, program, and plan.
Continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement Directive No. 79/CT-BQP dated July 22, 2022 of the Minister of National Defense on building a comprehensively strong, "exemplary, typical" unit; linking unit building with building a safe and secure military base; building solidarity with the People, Party committees, authorities, and localities.
Do a good job of educating and orienting the ideology of cadres and soldiers, always be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People, and be ready to receive and complete well all assigned tasks.
Besides, leaders and commanders of units need to regularly care for the material and spiritual life of units and soldiers, build a healthy cultural environment, and promote emulation movements in the unit.
