The Dien Bien Phu victory is a brilliant milestone, an immortal epic of the history of the Vietnamese nation. At the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, many cadres, soldiers, and compatriots sacrificed their youth and lives for the independence and freedom of the country, for the Dien Bien Phu Campaign until the day of total victory, including the great contribution of the army and people of Thanh Hoa. Also at the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, most of the remains of martyrs have not yet been identified, forever remaining at the strongholds of the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield National Historical Site.

The Martyrs' Temple at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield is located on Hill F, Muong Thanh Ward, Dien Bien Phu City.

The Martyrs' Temple at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield was built according to the wishes and sentiments of compatriots, veterans, people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs across the country. At the same time, it is a place to remember and forever remind generations of the dedication and sacrifices of heroic martyrs on every inch of land of the Dien Bien Phu front. The Martyrs' Temple at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield is located on F Hill, Muong Thanh Ward, Dien Bien Phu City, and was started on March 13, 2021 on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the opening of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign; inaugurated on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2022).

Dien Bien Province currently manages 8 martyrs' cemeteries with nearly 7,000 graves. Of which, the A1 National Martyrs' Cemetery was gathered from 1958 to 1960, with 644 martyrs' graves. Currently, the National Martyrs' Cemetery has about 700 martyrs' graves from Thanh Hoa. Among them is the grave of heroic martyr To Vinh Dien, a son of Thanh Hoa, who heroically used his body to block artillery fire during the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954.
