On April 17, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting between the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the provincial level, evaluating the results of the implementation of tasks in the first quarter of 2024, and orienting key tasks in the second quarter of 2024.
Attending the event were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of Party committees, Fatherland Front, associations and unions at the provincial level.
PERFORMING TASKS WELL IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2024
Assessing the activities of the first quarter of 2024, the delegates had many opinions on the results achieved in the implementation of the work in the first 3 months of 2024. Notably, the activities to care for the poor, policy families and disadvantaged people during the Tet holiday of Giap Thin 2024 achieved positive results; People trust and appreciate the drastic direction of the Central Government in the work of preventing and combating corruption, handling discipline and directing the investigation and strict handling according to the law for officials, party members who violate the law and major cases.
The Fatherland Front and associations and organizations have well performed their democratic, representative, supervisory and social criticism roles, participating in Party and government building. Solidarity work, gathering union members, association members and the people; consolidating and building strong organizations. Focusing on propagating and mobilizing people to actively respond to patriotic emulation movements; organizing a summary of work in 2023, deploying tasks in 2024.
For the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, in the first quarter of 2024, the agency successfully coordinated to organize the program "Tet for the poor in Giap Thin 2024" with a total amount of donations of more than 144.9 billion VND and other activities. The whole province received a total converted budget of 309 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 8,039 houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties. Continuing to implement the poetry and literature writing contest with the theme "Nghe An Front in the hearts of the people". The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 23 collectives and 30 individuals who are the frontline forces of the health sector at the Ceremony to summarize and commend the work in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the period of 2020-2023 and to consider the proposal to award the Medal "For the cause of great national unity". The Standing Staff of the Provincial Party Committee directed the program of meeting to honor and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs and soldiers of Dien Bien Phu.
PROPAGANDA AND TIMELY SOLVE ISSUES OF PUBLIC CONCERN
At the meeting, delegates also proposed to study solutions and resolve problems at the grassroots level that are of public concern, such as: Converting the purpose of using some forest land areas for production; completely resolving issues related to compensation for site clearance and resettlement support at hydropower plants in the area; thoroughly resolving backlogs in granting land use right certificates; strengthening inspection and supervision of festival organization, promptly preventing and strictly handling violations; ensuring the safety of pole systems, power transmission lines and voltage for daily life and production, etc.
Delegates also proposed ideas on the arrangement of personnel for the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level; arrangement and allocation of the budget to pay for labor contracts according to Decree No. 111/2022/ND-CP to replace labor contracts according to Decree No. 68/2000/ND-CP; Project "Preferential credit policy for young people starting a business in Nghe An province";...
Concluding the conference, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the results of the implementation of tasks in the first quarter of 2024. In particular, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations closely followed the political tasks of localities and units, organized patriotic emulation movements and activities to prevent and combat epidemics; using diverse and flexible forms to propagate and mobilize people to implement the policies of the Party and the State. Take good care of Tet activities for the poor and people with housing difficulties. Organize well emulation movements and socio-political activities such as March border month, Spring border guards warm the hearts of villagers.
In the second quarter of 2024, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that the Fatherland Front and provincial-level associations and organizations should pay attention to implementing the following contents: Focusing on a number of major activities such as commemorating the Dien Bien Phu Victory, meeting with veteran cadres and soldiers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; leadership and direction of the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, the Youth Union Congress, and the Provincial Literature and Arts Association Congress. Continuing to further promote propaganda work on the implementation of administrative unit mergers such as naming after the merger; plans for using headquarters, arranging cadres after the merger... Propagating against fraudulent and profiteering activities in both direct and online forms, minimizing damage to the people; Promoting propaganda of the Party's policies and the State's laws.
Regarding the arrangement of some job positions and the allocation of budget for payment of labor contracts in associations and organizations, the Fatherland Front shall take the lead in proposing to the Provincial People's Committee solutions and measures to create favorable conditions for agencies and units to operate.
Regarding some proposed contents at the conference, it is recommended that party committees, organizations, and research agencies advise on solutions such as the mechanism for rotation and mobilization of cadres at all levels; preferential credit policy project for young entrepreneurs in Nghe An province...
