Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phuong works with the Party Committee of the Department of Science and Technology

On the morning of October 11, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, worked with the Party Committee of the Department of Science and Technology on the results of Party building work and political tasks since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term.

The Provincial Department of Science and Technology Party Committee has 7 subordinate Party cells with 63 Party members. Since the beginning of the term, the Department's Party Committee has promptly issued and implemented Plans, Resolutions, and Action Programs to concretize the Resolutions, Directives, and directions of higher levels to organize the implementation of annual work tasks. From 2020 to September 2024, the rate of new Party members will reach 3% or more compared to the total number of Party members of the Party Committee from the beginning of the year.

The Party Committee has effectively carried out political and ideological education for Party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire Party Committee; inspection, supervision and party discipline work has been in accordance with regulations. The Department has advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee to issue many important documents to create a legal corridor to promote the development of science and technology, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. Notably, the issuance of Resolution No. 13-NQ/TU dated April 28, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee on the development of science, technology and innovation by 2030.

Scientific research activities, application of scientific and technological advances in the fields of public administration reform, smart city construction, education - training, healthcare, agriculture, e-commerce, etc. have achieved many impressive results.

Appreciating the results achieved since the beginning of the term in Party building and implementing political tasks of the Party Committee of the Department of Science and Technology, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, requested the Department of Science and Technology to continue focusing on completing the targets set at the beginning of the term. Including analyzing and evaluating the targets on science and technology tasks of the province to propose specific solutions and determination to implement.

The Department's cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers need to promote the spirit of proactive learning, research and knowledge improvement. He emphasized that this is a very important task for cadres working in science and technology, they must absorb and research new models and good practices in order to advise and propose to the province breakthrough development models suitable to the characteristics, such as forming scientific research clusters, applying technology to improve the quality of scientific application in all fields. In addition, the Department needs to continue to advise the province on building mechanisms and policies to attract and develop high-quality human resources in the field of science and technology; focus on perfecting the center for scientific and technological discovery and innovation.

The Department of Science and Technology needs to continue to improve the effectiveness of state management of quality measurement standards and technology. In research work, the Department needs to link with practical requirements and policies to advise the province to implement specific projects in all fields such as: Wind power, liquefied gas; smart manufacturing; AI; climate change response, etc.

Regarding Party building, the unit focuses on building the model of "4-good Party Cell", "4-good Grassroots Party Committee"; innovating and improving the quality of Party cell activities. The Department needs to focus on promoting the effectiveness of training and fostering cadres; effectively implementing movements, especially the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; enhancing the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and Party members in the spirit of "5 truths, 6 dares"; strictly implementing the Party organization and activities regime, promoting democracy, criticism and self-criticism of Party members.

On the other hand, the Department Party Committee needs to focus on leading and directing the preparation of party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, the 16th Provincial Party Congress, and the Department Party Congress (term 2025 - 2030) in accordance with Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo, Plan No. 439-KH/TU dated July 23, 2024 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on "organizing party congresses at all levels towards the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030".
